TFC punishment - losing 44% of their offense in those 2 key cogs - does not fit the "crimes" in any way shape or form. It's a damn disgrace if MLS allows first leg to go off without Altidore and Giovinco...

It will be a complete BLACK mark of shame on the league if TFC fails to advance directly because of the 2 BS suspensions, but would be so typical of NA pro leagues' (NBA & MLB in particular) treatment of Canadian franchises.

I’d have been perfectly fine with Altidore being suspended had it been for that flop.

Yeah that was bad however the situation presented itself because of the contact all be it minimal from the Redbull player.  Not condoning it but it does take 2 to tango   Altidore was ambushed in the TFC portion of the tunnel.  No Redbulls should have been even close to him.  They knew what they were doing and sadly it worked.  The Red card should be over turned imo

Altidore should have his over turned.  Even if they are without both for the 1st leg they will be ok as they played through lots of injuries during the season.  I don't think there is any conspiracy like might be assumed in other leagues pertaining to Canadian franchises. Personally i think Soccer fans in the U.S. would like to see the best teams regardless of where the franchise are located.  TFC is also an anchor franchise of the league and has 2 of the biggest USMNT players  on it.
