the rumors were yesterday Germany and Denmark would settle for the draw

i hear a lot , especially from my contacts in Asia which have grown over the past 15 years

the loudest party to speculate about it is the frontpage over covers.com until now

Spain finishes first in the group if they were to draw 2-2 or any other higher goal scoring draw.... The argument of playing for the higher seed is irrelevant for Spain. Honestly both teams in theory would be stupid not to collude to the draw. Croatia are not naive...why play for your lives in the group stage when you can do the same vs a lesser squad in the next round. (France/England/Ukraine)......


.....Now lets hope for Soccer's sake that this collusion does not come to fruition......And for Italy's sake also....

How about this conspiracy theory angle.... How can UEFA benefit from this group.... Let's see...Spain beats Croatia...Italy beats Ireland...and France win vs Sweden and get top spot in the group (Cooperation from other Group D fixture).....

I know this has nothing to do with tomorrows game but Croatia tied with Italy and Italy tied with Spain so should a Spain and Croatia tie be a shock? Croatia might be a little better than we think here. I still think Spain wins but don't think it's going to be easy

the reason is back in the 80 where germany and austria needed both a 1-0 victory for germany to eliminate algeria from advancing to second round of world cup

guess how the game ended up ?   ...u got it  1-0 germany
austia and germany advanced, algeria out, this was the beginning of all simultan matches @ last day of group stages :)

germany always be a motor of innovation... in technique and sports

if spain lose they will have 4 points (3 from ireland / 1 from italy)
if italy wins they have 5 points (3 from ireland / 1 of croatia / 1 of spain)
if spain lose croatia has 7 points ( 3 from spain / 3 of ireland / 1 of italy)

spain lose and italy win = spain out

Spain 2-2 draw grades out just over 6/1,
while the Italy 2-2 draw is 25-1.

Why does everyone assume that Spain will beat croatia so easily and the books have Croatia a 7 to 1 underdog to win? We all saw Greece beat Russia. Croatia beats Spain 1-0 and Italy wins their game..Spain goes home...wouldn't surprise me if the books clean up on this

I just heard a rumor that the croatian mob has threatened the spanish players cause they want to bet big money on Croatia to win at +700....Croatian guy told me this just now

The odds for over 3 goals are not much worse then for the 2:2)) I dont think Spain will allow themselves such an embarassment. If it was Italy or any other team it would be possible but the Spaniards are the Eurochamps, worldchamps...Croatia is a good team but they can hardly cope with the spanish offense and believe the over is very probable as is a spanish victory.

I take the chance and say you didn't see the match that ended 2-2 between Sweden and Denmark in 2004.
It was nowhere near a fix. It was an honest game that just as well could have ended with either of the sides winning. Obviously, when Sweden made the equalizer in the 90th minute neither of the teams really gave an effort in the injury time to take the win, but that was the only time during the game and can hardly be called a fix.

2-2 is not something that can be mutually agreed upon without it looking suspect.
The rumors of todays "fix" are just as far fetched as back in 2004 and once again they are coming from the Italian camp, that really shouldn't speak up about match-fixing at all - especially not Buffon, who has been one of the loudest mouths about this Spain - Croatia fix. He has an ongoing case about match-fixing.

Spain and Italy will roll today. Spain is impressive again and will not calculate. Believe me they play to win, so did Germany yesterday. Croatia is a good outsider but will get fucked. Italy always goes through. Always.
