It's a shame it took the last game of a series which was already resulted for the Blues to finally show a bit of passion and starch in defense.
 
I don't think I have seen Noddy play that well in defense in his career. The guy was like a little pit bull on marker defense all night

Remember what I was saying about gids after game 1 battler, now thats how u fucking tackle as a captain and a origin fullback

I wasn't being harsh, just wanted him to play origin footy and we all know his potential.

Last night he grew some balls

Noddy is playing incredible footy atm, hope he doesn't burn out come next year

You can never doubt Gidley's commitment. The bloke is all heart and as a Newcastle boy I wouldn't swap him for anyone.

He knew that bomb was going up at the death and he knew they'd be trying to hit his already busted cartlidge but he took the ball and returned it straight into the teeth of the defense anyway.

Are we even sure it was Thurton's boot that broke Wolfman's cheekbone? It could well have been the repeated 'don't argues' that GI was handing out to him..

Thurston's a dirty bastard.  Was hoping he'd get his ass handed to him after that two-handed face crush he handed a tackled, on the ground, Blues player in the 6th Minute.

He did get blasted after a 5th Tackle kick as little bit late in the 1st Half, so I think the Blues were told of that.

I was fuming after that 6th Minute tackle.  Went unnoticed by just about everyone.  He got his though.  Dirty, score me a shitton of fantasy points I love you, bastard.

That being said, NSW wins Origin next year.  We've got their number.

I'm just glad he finally shook off the nerves at this level, it was never about his commitment. He will be great for us next year no doubt, looking forward to it mate.
