It's that time of the year again. October baseball that separates the real sharp gamblers from the sports marks. The playoffs are what separates the men from the fanboys. Wild Card Series Winners Detroit Tigers -121 Chicago Cubs -115 Boston Red Sox +165 Los Angeles Dodgers -300 |

@oldwiseone
Hey buddy. I know you think you're sharp and all but really you're as square as they come. I'd recommend you quit betting NFL because the bookies will take all of your money. Age doesn't necessarily bring wisdom. There's sharp millennials (very, very, few) and we'll beat the tar out of you Boomers (not physically I'm talking about in gambling) any day of the week. @Michigan_D You bet too much and should be more selective with your plays. You can be profitable but need to learn to pump the brakes sometimes. Anyway you got no right callin me a square. So shuddap. @Cooler999 They need to find somebody to take his place. @LB_ONE_THREEE Great buddy. Bookies thank you for your donation. You fell for the trap. I won big time and now I get to rub it in your face. @Macwestie1 Gracias amigo. I look forward to your plays. I'm no newbie but I'm sharper at the MLB than anything else. Like your writeups, keep them coming.

Jets ML - Rodgers in a new scheme, took no preseason snaps and will need time to adjust. Steelers overpriced. It will be a rough start to the season for Pittsburgh. Yes Jets have a new head coach and quarterback but their D will stymie the Steelers offense and Fields will surprise everyone today. Dolphins ML - A no-brainer. Colts are in shambles after the passing of the great Jim Irsay. Daniel Jones is a hopeless case and this last-ditch effort to save their franchise will fail. Dolphins finally listening to their coach. Tua a world-class talent, Dolphins win their first game on the road. Jaguars ML - Carolina is putting out the same shitty product as last season and yet some contrarians expect a different result. The Panthers will continue to be ass clowns and will get beat most every week. Meanwhile the Jags have invested in their team and will see an immediate return on this investment with a home win over the loser Panthers. Redskins ML - Similar to the Panthers, the Giants continue to repeat the mistakes of the past and seem to have no interest in winning or improving their squad. Daboll is a loser and though the G men might have a slightly better season this year due to stinginess from other owners, they are going into a meat grinder facing Dan Quinn's team. Daniels continues to shine and the Redskins defense does just enough to get the win. Bengals ML - Cincinnati learned that they need to get Burrow reps in the preseason to avoid being sluggish out of the gate, and they did just that. On the other side you have the washed-up retread Flacco. A big mismatch here and the road favorite cruises to a win over its division rival. Falcons ML - I think the Bucs and Baker Mayfield are frauds and Todd Bowles is dumb as a box of rocks. Penix is an up and comer and he is a dual threat also. Falcons defense is being slept on, they will be ready for Mayfield's scrambling antics and his gunslinger style. Bucs on the other hand will be confounded by Penix. Packers ML - Everyone seems to have forgotten that in the grand scheme of things, the Detroit Lions are a joke. Last year was a fluke. They are not a serious franchise. The Packers on the other hand try to deliver consistency on the football field. Yes the Lions beat them twice last year but last year was an anomaly for Lions football. And they have new coordinators on both sides of the ball, it will take time for them to gel. Goff did not play in the preseason. The home favorite Green Bay Packers get a gritty win at Lambeau Field. Ravens ML - Both of these teams are overhyped, but the Bills even more so than the Ravens. Harbaugh usually can outmaneuver McDermott and the Ravens will get a good game from Jackson. This game they will throw red meat to the public on primetime. Ravens win.

@FillyFlier16 @ThirdEye4747 @Eprince These two goaltenders appear to be on the same skill level, but it's really not close. Skinner is in a different class than Pickard. Gretzky's brother scouted Skinner in the AHL...and the Oilers signed him because according to him, Skinner was the most skilled player he saw in the entire league. The top guy in the entire league according to Gretzky and that is serious praise coming from a guy who knows hockey. Pickard is a journeyman and although he is solid, the record there is deceptive. Teams that adjust quickly (Paul Maurice teams definitely adjust quickly) figure him out and beat him. Pickard wins against teams that run a lot of hockey "plays", which is not the way Florida plays (re: their forecheck). Watching hockey on TV is different than scouting a skater or a goalie's tendencies and knowing which goalie is easier for a skater to beat. Pickard much easier to beat! He is a lot more predictable in net. Finally the Oilers have the Cats figured out. They would be foolish to start their second string goaltender just because their fucking team couldn't get it together until the second period of Game 4. If Knoblauch is smart then he'll start Stuart Skinner tonight. And I believe he will. |

@pointspreadking Listen man. Open up your ears and listen. This game is not for you. You are going to lose all your money if you keep this up. Quit betting on sports. Very very very few can cut it and you have to be honest with yourself. There is something else I guarantee you are good at. Do that because this ain't it. STOP BEFORE YOU FACE RUIN. |

@dwynf There is so much $ on Florida that Edmonton can sweep and the books would still clean house. Gamblers for some reason love to bet against the Oilers. The Oil will not sweep but they are definitely winning the series. |

@mikesomoney Mike you were right on OKC...but you're making a big mistake here bud. If you make that bet you will get kicked in the balls. @Phillyneffer It's Oilers all the way for this Stanley Cup. They're on cruise control now. |

@Osser The Panthers do not have a chance in hell. They are completely fucked here. There's nothing that Maurice can do, they are going to get absolutely worked, and not even Bob the Cop can save them. They are maybe the squarest team to make the Stanley Cup Finals in the past decade. This is a different team than last year's and even than the year before. |
