 Tight ends usually go off against the Patriots too, but with the hot mess my Bucs O-line has been, Cade Otton has been kept in to block quite a lot this season. I keep thinking maybe he breaks out a bit in this game, especially with the Bucs coming off a bye week. Hoping Baker rested up good and healed from some of those injuries that have hindered him in recent weeks. Goedeke might return to bolster the O-line which would be huge. 

49'ers lost yet another key pass rusher, Mykel Williams. Think he tore his ACL, but anyway he is on injured reserve now.

1-3 start to season, gotta turn it around..

UAB +20.5: Kind of hmmmd and ahhhd about it at +17 but had to pounce when it got over 20. Kennedy has got a bit of a rebuild on his hands but he's got some talent there led by Westry. Destroyed MVSU by 51 in the opener which maybe doesn't say a lot, while State dogwalked NC Central. No question the Wolfpack should get this one done, but seems like a big number against a proud and well-coached program. 0.75 units.

Gardner-Webb +30.5: Speaking of good coaches, Brownell has pretty much a new team that will probably be more cohesive in the coming months, but right now I don't trust them to cover spreads like this against a decent program like Webb. 0.5 units.

Florida State -25.5: Seminoles are playing lightning-fast and these SWAC teams like Alabama State really don't have the athletes to keep up. I am not a huge fan of laying this amount of points but it's hard to argue with the fact that most have been covering through the first 4 days of the season. 0.5 units.

Interested to see how New Mexico looks with no Dent ... no anybody actually. But it's still the Pit, think this coach is legit and East Texas are a nice, soft game 1 opponent.

Pretty slim pickings today, but found one I like:

North Dakota State +3.5: Bison gave Oregon State all they could handle in opener on the road, losing by 2 on a late bucket. UC Davis staggered for a half before pulling away and beating some school called Menlo College. When I see these short lines early in the season, it's always cause to investigate further as it generally means Vegas "just ain't sure" about this one. Think we get good value on a more battle-tested and offensively superior Bison team who figure to again be among the top 4 or 5 teams in the Summit. Stretching it out to .75 of a unit on this one.

Looking at a couple of others in between working duties.
