Boise St is giving people against Group of 5 teams not making the playoffs alot of fuel
in College Football nobody expects jmu or tulane to win it all...but they earned their places and deserve the chance. they have to give the group of 5 the chance to be included. otherwise they will have to split the power 4 from group of 5 and make separate levels. just enjoy the games. yes...the irish are better than jmu and tulane, but they are not contenders to win it all. the teams with a legit chance to win it are all in the playoff. that is all that really matters in the end. |

in College Football @Greedybastard yeah we probably do need the place holders. because i promise you every time it does happen, the committee will be looking for a reason to put a 3 loss sec team in instead. all the legit contenders are in there now imo. i would bet we get 16 in a few years...but any more than that is just too many. |

you would think they would look at a bowl game vs a fellow playoff contender as an opportunity to show that they belonged in the playoff over bama or miami. they have played only 1 semi legit team in the last 4 months. i say semi legit because sc is not on the same level as the top 10 playoff teams. that is coming from a huge sc fan...me. to opt out makes them look weak imo. join a power 4 conference and play some meaningful games after mid september...or don't schedule teams like miami and a&m at all if you can't beat them. just my opinion. |

i think it's just gonna keep growing tho. more playoff teams and less or no bowl games. |

bowl games are going the way of the dinosaurs i'm afraid. larger playoff bracket is our future. maybe even a group of 5 bracket also with some kind of entry into the big dance at stake. just a guess. |
