This is sort of interesting, so I pulled some stats from a few randomly selected prior seasons, for comparison purposes

As of October 14, 2025, there have been two overtime games in the NFL regular season:

There were 16 NFL overtime games during the 2024 regular season, which accounts for a little over 5% of all games. None of the regular season games in 2024 ended in a tie, and there were no overtime games during the postseason

There were 20 NFL overtime games during the 2023 regular season, and no playoff games went into overtime. This means there were a total of 20 overtime games in the 2023 season. 

In the 2022 NFL regular season, there were 21 games that went to overtime. This was a slight increase from the 17 overtime games in 2021.

In the 2014 NFL regular season, there were 11 games that went to overtime.

In the 2013 NFL regular season, there were 16 games that went to overtime.

There were 12 regular-season NFL games that went to overtime in 2004.

In the 2003 NFL regular season, there were 23 games decided in overtime.

In the 2000 NFL regular season, there were 16 overtime games. This was a slight decrease from the 17 overtime games in 1999. The 2000 season did not set any new records for overtime games, but it continued the trend of relatively high overtime occurrences in the league's history.

In 1995, the NFL had 21 regular-season games that went into overtime.

There were 16 NFL regular-season games that went to overtime in 1994.

remember Willie Stargell at the plate?    While waiting for the pitch he would windmill the bat until the pitcher released the ball, never seen anything like it

Great hitter and had a cannon for an arm in RF

He got injured and played with a broken jaw, and had to wear a goalie mask for a while when hitting

In the series total rebounds for both teams is about even.     OKC got out-boarded by 5 in each of the last 2 games.     I think OKC will win the battle of the boards in game 7, and has a good chance to win the game by DD
