Simplicity: The truth is often complex and difficult to explain, while a good lie is designed to be simple and emotionally appealing. In a chaotic world, a false answer can feel much more comforting than a messy, uncertain reality.

The constant repetition of lies, sometimes spanning over years and or decades, becomes a blank mantra for people who are surrounded by chaos and instability in their personal lives. This psychological phenomenon tends to make their lives slightly more bearable.

Marjorie Taylor Greene open to healthcare deal with Democrats amid shutdown

Indicating that she is willing to stand against her party on the issue, Greene said Monday night in a post on the social platform X that she’s “absolutely disgusted” insurance premiums could double if the tax credits dating back to Barack Obama’s presidency is allowed to expire at the end of the year by the republicans.

Polls show most republicans support Obamacare subsidies.  Foolish for republican leaders to repeatedly try to eliminate popular Obamacare.

Republican Thom condemns corrupt pardon of cryptocurrency mogul who boosted Trump's crypto venture.  Zhao was convicted of money laundering.  Many of Trump pardons are controversial and self serving to benefit himself.  Obviously, congress should write legislation to regulate cryptocurrency market.

Republican Rand Paul criticizes Trump military strikes against alleged drug boats from Venezuela.  No credible facts justify these strikes.  Since there is no self defense emergency, strikes are illegal without formal declaration of war from congress.  Labeling everyone a terrorist or drug trafficker does not necessarily make them a legal target.  Trump contempt for the rule of law is among characteristics of fascism.

It is very unconventional, but if he is right and those boats are transporting drugs then this sends a very ominous message to those drug dealers....it won't stop them, but you have to start putting a cog in the wheel at some point to deter it from happening. The effort though, has to be ongoing and very vigilant. Shit like this is messy, but the rules are not the same on either side, so being unconventional is better than the same ol same ol tactic that has been deployed if you are serious about sending a message. 

Its not that there are no credible facts, it's just that few can access them.  Certainly not anyone here on covers.

If it's truly illegal, there would be avenues of remedy or relief.  That it keeps happening suggests arguments of interpretation amongst branches.

Either way it's a gold jacket- green jacket scenario.

We know what these boats are.  We tracked them from the beginning.  We know who's in them, who they are, where they're coming from, and what they have on them.

Challenge.......what is it you're really upset about with this?  Lawlessness, loss of life, loss of property, inability to get your drugs, or because it's Trump

Funny how this is an example of where I'd grant that the administration is stretching  definitions to get where they want in a similar way laws were pieced together to make 34 felonies.

Democrat Mark Kelly said the evidence does not support Trump administration claim that alleged drug boats carry fentanyl.  Mexico and China are the primary sources of fentanyl entering the US.  93% of cocaine comes from Columbia and 77% of US drug traffickers are American citizens.  Venezuela plays no role in the production and export of synthetic drugs.  Apparently, US warships aren't in the Caribbean to fight drugs.  But starting a war to overthrow Venezuela president makes no sense and does not make US safer.
