They found that children whose cord blood samples contained the highest levels of acetaminophen—the generic name for the drug Tylenol—were roughly three times more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD or autism spectrum disorder later in childhood, compared to children with the lowest levels of acetaminophen in their cord blood.

Some studies show correlation between tylenol use and autism. However correlation is not proof of causation. For example, mothers often take tylenol to treat pain from a disease but disease is a greater autism risk than the safest pain medicine. Genetics account for 80% of the risk in developing autism.
Tylenol does not cure disease so why add to the risk and several studies do suggest a correlation. The President made it clear "I am not a doctor, but I am giving my opinion"
