Do you think that is something to be proud of? You would be a maniac or an idiot to shoot down a drone that big over critical infrastructure, especially if it doesn't carry weapons. For starters, it could damage the airport and kill a lot of people. It could also hit a plane or some oil containers and cause the entire airport to explode! You would also be challenging a nation 20 times your size in population (and the biggest nuclear power on Earth), and you might start WWIII. Call me crazy, but I think we would need a bigger escalation before anyone hit that button, and so would you pussies over there.

Remains the more perplexing questions.  Governments know their cards and what cards the opponent both has and does not have.

Why would Russia endeavor into something that they either seemingly can't win or is poised to drag on for years?

I believe the underlying answer should scare the would be underestimaters and most definitely involves China and NK.

Just don't understand why he talks so much shit about the US, yet it is pretty obvious that it is viewed as the number one country in the world as far as eyes on us....the US is far superior in many areas than most of the world...is the US perfect, no, but it is far superior than many other countries...I mean, to each his own, but man WTF....If we just looked at one category, which is the top desired destination for migrants around the world, the US leads the world...we also have the most immigrants of any country in the world, and yes this creates the issues that our country has been facing...although the US desirability has declined over the years, it is still far superior in this area....the free world and things we have and allow is why other countries and groups despise us....

This bloke may be heading a terrorist plot against the US with all of his hate and disgust in the majority of his posts for all we know, and it's right under our noses....should we notify the authorities to monitor him because he actually thinks his homeland is better than the US.....Sure, it has some good qualities, but not even close and I have visited Denmark and stayed with families...the way of life is vastly different, I'll give them that, but man, dude, relax on the US hate on a daily...and it's in multiple forums...terrorists watch list

I think if you truly travel the world every country is both better and worse than that last.  Even countries like Indonesia, Mexico, Thailand that we might look down on far and above do a better job on many fronts.  Then countries like Scotland, England, Australia who we'd consider on par weren't overly impressive.

But as an American, things are well enough here that I don't have to much time to sit and complain that Russian crime is Bali makes it a shit hole or that corruption and project management delays are hurting Mexico more than cartels.....it would never occur to me to do that.

Valid points...however, if you are one that has traveled, then you can clearly see the differences from place to place. Only those who have traveled can really debate the issue. If you have not, then hard to support any claim you may have based on just what you read or you news media tells you.

Going into stores, temples, and generally on the streets and the way people interact is far and above to here......not talking Bangkok.

Idk, still no opinion here.  I mean all these things happened here this week in the land of the free:

1) bank won't put through transactions unless / until you call.

2) bank won't fund sportsbetting site cause they dont agree with it (fair its a church credit union)

3) I now need to present ID to deposit more than $300 @ CVS.

4)  National bank needs "weeks" to get 10k in cash.

So for what has the appearance of "my money" it seems equally as hard to access and at the behest of these institutions than the 3 minute read I did on Thailand.
