Chicago will be ready to go today....need the win to avoid playing the Nucks in the first round.

This is how I see it:

Win -  Ducks.
OT loss -  San Jose.
Loss and Dallas loss - Nucks
Loss and Dallas win - Golf

Carolina needed a win yesterday as well and we saw how that went

Evc3210 - I agree HOWEVER, Carolina is not Chicago and they were coming of a tough game....emotionally speaking....the night before.  Also, Staal was not even close to 100%.  He had been playing with a pulled groin for the past 3 weeks.  I see a BIG difference between the two situations.....Good Luck

Does this game mean anything to the BlackHawks?  I mean, if Dallas wins tonight, and ties Chicago for the last play-off spot, what is the first tie-breaker?

if chicago doesn't get any points today, dallas just needs a win in regulation or overtime and they would be in over chicago.... however by my math if the hawks get a win in regulation or overtime they will climb all the way up to the 5th seed

For Dallas to advance, they would have to win today in regulation OR overtime and Chicago lose. The only way that the Stars can advance is to win in reg time with a Chicago reg time loss....

Stars can win in overtime or s/o. All they need is 2 points one way or the other assuming the hawks lose.
