You're not the swiftest current in the river are you? This was a comparison of all rookie QB's who made it to the divisional round and Daniels is far and away above Dan Marino who sits at number 2, and Dan made it to the super bowl in his second season, as did Brock Purdy and Russell Wilson.

”You're not the swiftest current in the river are you? “
Call me what you want… a man my age, names mean zero…especially on the internet. ATS% should be your focus
DAN Marino and Jaylen Daniels in the same statement is 5-7 years premature. THE espn kool aid agrees with you. But I don’t, he’s overhyped. Really simple brutha. And Deebo aint gonna save the day I don’t even think the mad scientist Kliff can turn this into a better season than last year for all associated. Hat tip to HC, but this challenge is much steeper than you predict in my eyes.
Another way I’ve looked at it…. The Commandos will be closer to the Cowboys and Giants level this season
I’ll put my electric red fireproof cape on now so you can sling your stones, and flame away

No way Dan Marino should even be mentioned with these guys, absolutely no way. Go fish
Some excellent other statistics regarding Daniels that make Alot more sense…. Man that speed at field level in college was very reminiscent of a Michael Vick type once in a generation QB. Absolutely went two floors above his ceiling last season, as did the commies…especially McLaurin when healthy had a career season. They’re sexy these commandos , all kinds of hype that JD could even get that MVP…this is a helluva league for coaching and defensive schemes..
Thats why they play. DAN Marino deserves some respect

Dan Marino and Jayden Daniels in the same sentence because they were both rookie quarterbacks who made it to the divisional round of the playoffs. I approach things from a historical standpoint and Daniels produced the best first two playoff games by a rookie QB ever. That's not my opinion, that is fact. I'm not emotionally invested in the kid nor am I hyping him. Handicappers make wagers based on data, while fans root for a QB the media is falling all over because they "feel" he should have been drafted higher that he was. I'll take data over feelings every time.

well that’s a much more professional response respectively My opinion is your emotionally attached to last years playoff run and are naive to think that’s possible to repeat again in today’s NFL and with the changes I’ve observed with your Commanders this off-season. I do believe your man Daniels has the weight on his shoulders and because of injury risk and DC’s jobs on the line to stop JD…his luck might have run out. Wish you the best, should they win the Super Bowl as predicted you will be a wealthy man. JJWoods

Yes, you claimed Super Bowl… fan or not, that’s your Team…I certainly don’t care who your favorite team is now go kick rocks
Pretty awesome! almost half of your posts are directed to me … lmfao! #winning quite an unhealthy obsession in fact it’s creepy…
Get me out of your head, move along being personal, and contribute your awesome selections…. It’s not even worth a good luck to me at this point of your harassment, I Kinda hope you lose now and that ain’t me. I like to win and everyone else too as well… The Vig is nearly impossible, and with haters like you making it even more difficult well it’s nonsense. Unneeded…
now walk along and start your own thread and blow us away. You’re getting nowhere in mine and continuing to spend 75% of your energies posting about JJ Woods, ESPN, and Sanders. I will promise you this C-70 Blues…no one gives AF about you and your continued soap opera with me. It’s just a bad look for all involved…adds nothing but help you feel better about yourself. Zero value for everyone else.

Sanchez great announcer actually…this is a list of duds, I do see maybe a bit of potential for CJ and Dan shouldn’t even be included with anyone else you wisely listed. Comparing small grapes to apples…

Jayden Daniels is an incredible talent. However I do believe there will be some regression. Does that mean he sucks, no, not at all. But the team performed well above expectations last year, so we can expect them to come back to earth a little. I see Washington as a 8-9, 9-8 type team this year and miss the playoffs.

They are? Whos everybody? Oddsmakers have them at 9.5 wins shaded to the over so I dont know how everyone is predicting this. Add to that Daniels is regularly being drafted in fantasy in the group with allen, lamar, and Hurts. Those things tell me that not everyone is predicting this.

Show me someone on the Commanders to cover the spread in week one.

Great thread and lots of good information, congrats.
You might be onto something with this sophomore jinx for JD. What will stop me from taking the points and the Giants is that Russell Wilson will be their starter.
Yeah, the low octane Steeler offense might have hampered Wilson last year but I simply can't put any money on him anymore. Who knows with Daboll he might resurrect his career. BOL in 2025!!!

Sure can sharp spoon…. 62% of the geniuses here on covers much like you also took the Commandos
what’s interesting to note, despite all the public love for the Commanders…this line has dropped under a key number and now sits at Was-5’ Some would call that Reverse Line Movement….others Reverse Odds Movement. Can often be a powerful indication when handicapping…and especially if you prefer to fade Joe Pub who seems to think Redskins cover here… turn off the espn and Microsoft excel spreadsheets and head to Tijuana for an attitude change! Guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
I don’t watch much TV but noticed Scary Terry is back with Daniels finally…$90 something million I think I saw. Reminds me of when Tyree Hill hit the payday and lost all drive to exceed that. Happens. I still think Washington steps back, and absolutely Daniels regresses..I like numbers, 80% chance he doesn’t top 3600 yds passing and 900 yards rushing with 31 total TD’s
I know this whack job C75 is into history and tweaking numbers to support whatever he’s babbling so I’ll give him a great historical zinger
There have been seven other rookies in the past 20 years that also averaged top 10 numbers
Of that group only one improved and 19 became worse
3 (including CJ) became significantly worse
So, maybe Daniels will be that 5% outlier, much like Justin Herbert the only one to buck the trend and unbelievable odds and improve in year 2. Hate to say it because I hate this part of the game, but JD is absolutely an injury risk due to size and running style

should read “Of that group only one improved and 6 became worse”
Justin Herbert
** Daniels will likely be the most hit QB in the league…skins ran JD on 4th down 28 times last year. With that pencil thin build and his tendency to tuck it run yet also take sacks is one reason he’s the riskiest of the top 10 QBs in the league

Good stuff JJ. I saw that response to me about show me someone on Commandos in week 1. It was such a crazy and nonsensical response to what I said I went na I'm not even gonna respond, we are going into the twilight zone now

You fantasy guys are hilarious. Where did you get that vague "zinger" as you called it? What site is it posted at so I can see it? And you have to stop comparing Daniels to Stroud. That will be your downfall.
