Not to mention, Jefferson is handling his frustrations as best he can. It's showing on the sidelines, but he's not saying anything to the media.
Not like AJ Brown from Philly who's team is 8-2 and he keeps crying.

It was incredibly stupid. You have a proven QBand an unproven QB .. you went cheap and now you’re screwed. In today’s game you HAVE to have a good QB .. don’t go cheap

Out of 37 quarterbacks QBR:
Sam Darnold 7th 105.0
JJ Mccarthy 37th 61.7
Out of 37 quarterbacks Adjusted EPA per play:
Sam Darnold 3rd 0.279
JJ Mccarthy 37th -0.198
PFF RATING:
Sam Darnold 88.9
JJ Mccarthy 54.6
For those earlier in the thread saying that Justin Jefferson and/or Jordan Addison were the ones playing poorly and are over rated, is that really the case? The analytical stats account for drops and such.
And fwiw, the pro football focus ratings are compounded by people who watch the players EVERY play multiple times. So there is a human element to their ratings.
Justin Jefferson 77.6, Jordan Addison 64.7, Jalen Nailor 69.5, TJ Hockenson 58.8, Jordan Mason 68.8, Aaron Jones 62.7
Not the greatest of ratings, but there are decent weapons around JJ. All of them are playing better than him at the moment.
I really hope that JJ turns it around, it's just a question of when? No player needs more time than a QB(usually) when coming into this league.

Love it. Will Sam Darnold have some extra juice for this one? The "here's what you didn't want" game

Relatable thought as a Bills fan. Darnold is similar to McDermott in that perfectly suitable but won't get you all the way.
I'd love to be wrong on both fronts, but thats my take. Time will tell.

Very good points, the Vikings have talent all over the field but you need a field general to make it work, they had it and lost it, JJ reminds me of Brady Quinn alot, wont be in the league long. A shame to waste the talent they have and as you said the window is here and now and closing.
So glad I am a Packer Fan !

Viking fan here.. JJ suck and Sam suck in playoff can't win big games. Carlson W. was the worst qb viking sign. Please draft a new qb.

Vikings, we have a problem...
What's the plan next year? They have to draft another guy right? And maybe bring in another vet to compete for the job.
Mac Jones maybe?
Gotta feel for the Vikings fans. 14-2 last year, and now you get this. Not to mention that the rest of your division is loaded with talent.
Good Luck
