What valuable lessons have you learned from sports betting?

I’ve learned if you’ve been riding a team all week and you flip sides the day of the game. You will lose the majority of the time. Go with your initial instincts. There have been many of times where I’ve capped a game and all the trends and angles were on my side. I would then flip slides because of the line movement. The moral of the story is, don’t flip sides unless you have solid reasoning to back your position.

I wish i could get my 46 years back from gambling. Too late to quit now, its actually part of my DNA now. Young kids quit now, because years down the road you will be posting the same kind of posts like this.

I've learned that betting on Table Tennis at 3:00 AM can be a lot of fun.

Don’t start. And if you do, NFL is the hardest of the main sports to win at. Because everyone bets it they have mix it up on you. 

Baseball is actually the best sport to bet. Even the best team in the league will win no more than 60% of the time.

 Exactly! I’ve been gambling since I was 16. I’m 54. I rarely bet NFL and it if I do it’s small amounts. The NFL, whether people want to believe it, is manipulated. Not every game, but many are and it’s fact. 

Baseball is by far the best sport. It’s a grind and you have to pay attention, but you can win. 

NBA is wrestling. 

Don't bet five hundred on a game when you only make a thousand for the week

Play for the challenge,, play for the fun,  play when your chasing and you'll find yourself done.

Never chase and never let it impact the time you spend with your family. If you don't have a family, never be the boyfriend that is on their phone placing wagers while out to eat with his gf. Loser type stuff

Maybe bet NBA series but as far as mid-season games in the bowels of January those guys simply couldn’t care less.  Especially with ‘load management’……you never know whose gonna out be out there.

Personally,  I’m leery of any NFL favorite with a spread of 7 or greater.  I’m looking at the dog or just staying off the game.

Baseball really is the best cuz off the sheer number of opportunities and you can get plus-money on what are essentially coin flip games.

Betting is a form of entertainment. Its not an income producer. Its like making it to the big leagues. Only few and far between will be really successful at it. The moment you realize that, the less of a chance your selling the family dog to bet on an ivy league football game on a friday night.
