I agree with this. The discount system would be foolish to play here and the 2nd half bet should be on the team that is dominating. However, if a favorite is losing by a few points at half and now all they have to do is win the game to cover, or even better they can still lose by a couple and you win the 2nd half bet you would have to be drunk not to think that is a smart play. Barring an injury to key player obviously. It is foolish to start giving random examples of success/failures and say what about this game it worked or what about that game it didn't...because unless you looked at every single game it is pointless.
I can post all of my wins from using this method on the forum and list them and list all of my losses but that would take way too much time and effort to prove to a skeptic that I make money off of it. So if you don't believe this "discount system" works as Rounders refers to it than whatever man. Keep to your system and hopefully you win.
I am not sure about football, but in the NBA I have made bank betting against that method, especially if the fav is also a public team (more % of money on the team).
If the original line is -5 and they are down by 4 and the 2H line is -5 or less, take the dogs. Typical degen gambler: "All they have to do is WIn, shitttt.... I'm gonna press them". Loser!!
If the line is -7 or more... Take the Fav. Typical degen gambler: "Man, the fav is playing like shit, how they gonna come back and win by 3, I'm taking the points" Loser!!
