Doesn't he realize eagles defense is really good and just kick the field goals
No, hes not smart enough to understand something that literal homeless people on the street understood a long time ago.

Invading a hostile city with the onset of Winter and expecting glory and instead tasting bitter defeat. Isn't that what did Napoleon and Hitler in?

I've watched the NFL for over 40 years. In that time the Lions were basically the laughingstock of the NFL. Look it up. Many years of suffering. The Lions have had 14 coaches since 1970 and only two have winning records. Campbell is one of them. He has turned the image of the Lions around. To say he is a dipshit or not a good coach is ridiculous.

@River_fish
You are absolutely correct. Having said that, I believe sometimes he's too stubborn for his own good. Philosophy is one thing but a great coach should be able to adjust in-game. The way both his and Eagle's defense were playing, he doesn't need to go for it all the time.

@River_fish
Agreed.
Its not a popular response but my take is he trusts his guys to execute. They didn't. Its not for everyone but he has brought success to this dismal franchise and this is the way he does it. Theyre 6-4 and in the hunt again.

Every coach has done things he/she wish they hadn't if Dan Cambell decision would have won that game he be praised for taking them chances.My point is he is human,will make misakes and not one person on here could do a better job coaching NOT ONE.

@Buffalobob89074
He is an idiot. I was yelling at the TV last night after his dumb 4th down attempts. Apparent low scoring game, take the points where you can and put the Eagles in a longer field otherwise.

Do the Lions not have the most talented team in the league? Now picture that team with a better decision maker. Injuries all over this year like last. If I recall last year there was outcry about some of those injuries could have been avoided. Not sure exactly how or if people thought Lions put too much focus into every single game.

Reading these comments I am questioning whether or not people watched the nfc championship game a couple years ago. His decisions in that game were mind bogglingly stupid, all he had to do was kick a field goal and the lions go to the super bowl.

@JimmyGape
its easy to complain behind the TV. We aren't coaches. We have no idea what he was thinking during those moments. One thing is sure, Lions were a bad team for years but since 2021 and him being the coach , win ratios went from under 40% to over 50-60% now.
Considering the players and the injuries he has. I think he is doing a great job. Im not even a Lions fans.....

These are absolutely lame *** excuses and statements that don't even really make sense the fact that me and you are not coaches is totally irrelevant as a matter of fact it's embarrassing for him because yes we're not coaches but we would have made better decisions.
And this is why I emphasized the fact that two years ago he did not kick a field goal in the nfc championship game that would have put the game away and the niners came back and won. There is literally not one other coach in the history of the nfl that would not have kicked the field goal right there. End of story. Therefore all this other talk is irrelevant.
