Can we talk about KC @ Denver next week

Was up 30 units just a week ago and gave it all back within a week lmao. But KC might be a bank roll play for me . Hard to envision them going 5-5 and being in SERIOUS jeopardy of missing the playoffs . Maybe the 3 peat effort is taking its toll but I assume Andy and Patrick will show a Herculean effort off the bye . Denver defense will muddy this game but I’m not sold on our offense right now

 FWIW, I'm seeing public and sharp $ on the Chiefs as of today.

The line movement from open is in agreement. 

Remember when the Chiefs were the kings of winning but not covering? Maybe lightning strikes here?

 I’m not into eating chalk but ML would be my play . KC notorious with these spreads from years past . Subconsciously that tells me that i think this is a close game that can be a field goal game either way . But I have a strong feeling about this one

Both of these teams have a .33 win percentage against contenders. Den is 1-2 and KC is 2-4. The difference is KC has played twice as many contenders. 

On the other side they are both 100 percent against ‘less than’ teams. Den is 7-0 and KC 3-0. 

With this comparison I’d give KC an edge, but, so do the books so the line mutes this point. 

Both teams are gonna make the playoffs. Going forward Den has 4 contenders and 2 less than teams left and KC has 3 contenders and 4 less than. They play again in week 17  

With that said I’m not betting the game. I lean KC -3.5. 

I haven’t had a play in 3 weeks and I’m squeezing my discipline as hard as I can. Wanted to throw out some thoughts to pacify myself. 

Bet rivers Denver +4....a steal!

They've covered the last four against the Chiefs at home.

Not to mention that they've won ten in a row at home.

The value is definitely on Denver at least to me it is.

Whomever backing Denver MUST confirm that Pat Surtain will be back in the lineup and at least 85-100% healthy. Without Surtain playing, you'll see some Chiefs cooking Rice during the game for their Winnerwinner Chicken and rice dinner hahaha    L.H.M. if Singleton is out 2

KC 0-3 L3, 0-4 L4 @ Denver ( 1 was  backups & Wentz 0-38 in week  18 last year so we wont even consider that gm), The Payton/Nix Denver team has been an upgrade from previous Denver teams vs KC. Denver remembers Week 10 as well, blocked FG to win, so the inhanced motivation is there, unlike vs Raiders.

KC/ Reid solid off Bye, counter that w/ Denvers 5-0 ATS vs .500 or > opp w/ rest, Denver will be ready for them, close gm imo

Broncos don't need this game like K.C. does.

I am not sure how much I agree with this.  I have never felt like an NFL team won more than another if both really needed to win.  Just because a team needs to win more does not mean the other team cares less to win or they are more, or less, motivated or prepared for the game.

It is not like one team is clearly out of the playoffs or is at the point of experimenting or one team is at the point of resting starters.

KC has proven that all they need to do is simply get in the playoffs.  They are clearly a team that is built for the playoffs and can win anywhere at any time by any method necessary.  Sure, they need this win to help them get in and even have a chance at the division with another game with DEN at KC.

However, I would counter that DEN has not proven they can win in the playoffs.  They cannot win by any method needed and they cannot win anywhere at any time.  Nix on the road in the playoffs would not be as comfortable for DEN as Mahomes on the road would be for KC.

I think DEN would really want the #1 seed.  They are in a fight with potentially 4-5 teams.  They are also in a fight for their division with 1-2 teams.

They have to play KC, @WAS, @LV, GB, JAX, @KC, LAC.  On the road in rivalry games and potentially 5 games against other teams fighting for playoff positioning. 

Chiefs get Josh Simmons back this week. Was out for personal, not injury, he’s rested and ready. More time for Mahomes, more holes for RBs, more time defense is off the field. Angry Chiefs off a loss and a bye WATCH OUT!!!!

Andy Reid is 22-4 off a bye week, while Denver is undefeated at home this season. I think the best play here may be Denver with the points at +3.5 or +4. It feels like a FG game either way

Over 3.5 fg's might be worth a look too...with those defenses and high altitude

Exactly what I'm thinking. Im very confident in KC winning this game, could be nudged along by the referees even, but I'm not laying 3.5 or 4 with them

Your gut has a good chance of being right as eight of the last nine games when Denver played the AFC those games have  gone under the posted totals.
