Chiefs would win that Jacksonville game 98/100 in the past 6 or 7 years. Now it's a struggle and they lost.

I see his video's but never watch them.
My thoughts are he knows the NFL obviously, the X's and O's but I doubt he knows how to predict games .
Predicting games is different from coaching or playing, completely different skills.
I watched the video , skipped though many times , then at the end he gives no reason for his pick that I saw .
I got bored with his analysis as he talks only about this played does this, that player does this.
Lots of which is widely known. Nothing that has anything to do with predicting games. And then gives no reason for his pick

Gruden admits his prediction picks have sucked at the beginning of each video so at least he is honest about it. Gruden is good in detailing information about injuries and other variables. I enjoy his sense of humor and high energy.
I also think Gruden was crucified unfairly for his remarks in what he thought were private emails for his personal opinions. What has happened to freedom of speech and a right to privacy in our country? It is not like what he said were public pronouncements.
Since when are we going to punish people for what they think??? One joke was about a Black guy who he said had lips the size of Michelins, I saw photos of the guy and yes, that is an accurate description.
Obviously Claw, you harbor some disdain for the man, so be it. It is your right to like or despise whoever you want. I, on the other hand, hope that Gruden prevails in the courts over the NFL and demonic Roger Goodell in particular. I view RG as a one man band who is leading the league to destruction.
I suppose I should have added a 'for entertainment purposes only' after the video link but I thought that my post was directed at men who can decide for themselves whether or not his video had value.

The Lions have been a force of nature so far. I just hope they can stay reasonably healthy this year. The Chiefs will be the more desperate team this week but will that be enough?
Teams that pay these QBs 40 and 50 million per year just don't have enough money to go around so the overall quality of the teams eventually suffers IMO.
The boneheaded Steelers followed the pay-scale of the Browns and paid their edge rusher 41 million per which is insane. In spite of what they say, the players do pocket watch what the other guy is making and it causes envy and jealousy etc into the locker rooms.

But everyone has off years. I was wondering if he has done well in other years predicting games.
If you have followed players and coaches over the years Bob you'd know they are not good at predicting games, it is a completely different skill Bob.
Those are facts.
Joe Montana did some studio time and was horrendous at making picks, he was well into last place of all the guys in the studio.
I have nothing against Gruden Bob I have no clue how you arrived at that from my past post.
I like Gruden but if you watch the video you will not learn anything about predicting games Bob, I am not making that up.
Much of what he says is well know by most who watch games and have any clue and is baked into the line, there is no advantage to that info and that is exactly what I thought his video's would be so hence why I never watched them.
Now if you are a fan more the a sports bettor then I can understand why you'd want to watch. He did give some information that a coach/player would only know, that stuff is very interesting and nice to learn but won't help you predict sports.
He does play his tough guy act, make his faces he is famous for doing on the sidelines as coach, brings high energy and that is fun to watch for sure Bob but lacks any substance as far as predicting games goes
Again that is a fact Bob, I am not making it up.
I'd rather watch substance then show any day of the week Bob and that has nothing to do with Gruden.
People tend to get caught up in the show and I am not talking about Gruden, I'm talking about any video, people like flash and glitter and a big show to distract them from life instead of working on themselves and their own life and to do this Bob you need substance not show.
That is all I am saying about him Bob, nothing bad in that at all that I see, maybe you can correct me if I am wrong.

KC can certainly win but they will have to score 30+ points. Their DBs are suspect this year. Still no Rice this game and once he comes back they will be better. Kelce looks like a wedding planner. Chris Jones is old and he is obviously gassed in the 4th. Detroit will have a fire KC won’t be able to match.

The only ex head coaches that have had consistent insight into caping the games were Hank Stram RIP on the pre game Monday nighters on radio when he would predict the winner and why. Also Tony Dungy provides quality insight from time to time IMO. The rest are just bloviating gasbags. I find Gruden's show entertaining.
Since the modern NFL is only entertainment and is no longer a contested sport, the influence of ref calls and non-calls on the outcomes of games makes handicapping almost an impossible task. Now that Goodell has merged the NFL with the gambling industry, that further muddies the waters IMO.
Goodell tried for as long as he could to hold back the gaming industry intrusion into the game but no man alive was going to stop that train. As for the games being fixed or scripted..tell that to the players. As for this game something tells me KC finds a way and ii'm staying away. GLuck with your action today.

I disagree, the NFL refused to be publicly associated with the gambling world for over 90 years with good reason and would severely punish any players who were found, even amongst themselves, making friendly wagers (see Alex Karras and Paul Hornung).
Goodell sold his soul to Satan years ago so no surprise he would make the gambling industry the business partner of the NFL. If you can't see how this partnership is eroding any integrity left then I question whether you know right from wrong or good from evil.
Perhaps what is played now should be called 'casino football'?

Although I obviously think the widespread legalization of sports betting is a good thing, I despise the fact that the nfl has literally partnered with the gaming industry. I always expected that when sports gambling got to this point that the leagues would continue to operate in “ignorance” of the gambling aspect. The fact that they are talking about spreads and player props in the pregame and showing betting related things in the corner of the screen during the game is widely inappropriate imo.
I’m not a full on fixed game conspiracy theorist, but it doesn’t look good when they’re encouraging gambling on the games and showing Draftkings commercials throughout the entire game. I always get a kick out of the “know your limits/gambling addiction commercials” immediately followed by an “expert” giving out his picks in the pregame LOL.
The NFL has certainly sold out along with Goodell and it’s a horrible look for sports. I couldn’t agree more.
If you are the NFL owners and respected books come to you and offer untold millions to be able to advertise their services during broadcasts what are you going to do, I suppose they could have turned down the dough but these joints are advertised 24 hours a day on tv. I agree its not a good look.
