don't need a full script, if they did that everyone would catch on.  all you need is one of any of the following, ref, coach kicker at key moments and you can manipulate a game subtly so that the average fan doesn't notice but those more observant will notice then be called idiots by average fans when they point these things out.

 This is correct.  I see it every week with the townies at the local drinking establishment.  They are too stupid to believe it could actually be influenced in any way.
