A Stretch

I had to go back thru 10 years of Christmas games as I was curious of how the most dominant home teams fared on this special day. From what I found, those teams that were home beasts somehow lost their footing to start the games. Now we have Knicks who are an Eastern conference best 14-2 at home against a 6-6 Cavs road team that they've already beat 65-50 in their earlier meeting this season in the Garden. Meanwhile Knicks since their Cup games starting w Magic have given up 64/61/62/57/62/58 1st half points to opponents. Knicks defense to start isn't what I would think is on that 14-2 home level. Then there's the most dominant home team OKC at 14-0 hosting a Spurs team they lost to twice, the most important being the semi-Cup loss to Spurs. All signs would point to a quick Knicks and OKC start, but history disagrees with that. This is a stretch, but I've got to fade the home teams here to begin and take my chances. Merry Christmas!

How do you figure?  The Cabs ML didn’t come in neither did the Knicks TT under (had that play myself so crappy). That’s not quite almost sweeping it. Il also bitter from the TT loss

I wonder since this is the 1st game in a short 3 game series for both Mavs/Ws and Rox/Lakes we see some defense as this is already a pivotal/important game in a short 3 game series. I thought all teams played each other 4 times in conference but sure enough Ws only play Mavs 3 times and Lakes only play Hou 3 times so grabbing that initial game is big if it comes down to a tie-breaker later in the season. You gotta have big cajones to play an under after witnessing these first 2 games. The small research I've done shows teams meeting for the first time in the series on Xmas Day tend to have big 4th qtrs but pretty tame until that. What the hell, going to give them a shot.
