Hello again everyone. A glorious friday to all of ya. It's been a pretty average week for the Nation, after pretty much a month straight of pure domination. We'll try and pick it up a bit for the weekend. Looking over the card of games this evening, I don't hate the slate of games. I think I can work with this. One so far!

TORONTO(-160)- Miguel Batista is just brutal. 4-11 with a 6.89 ERA this year, and there really doesn't look like theres any end in sight for this poor bastard. Seattle has lost 5 straight, and are 2-8 in their last 10. Everyone likes to point out that the Mariners hit lefties well, but the fact still remains that they are 1-6 in their last 7 games vs. a LHP. Parrish has been pretty solid since joining the rotation. His team has actually won every game he has started. The Jays are on a nice little streak after taking 3 straight in Baltimore. They are 7-1 in their last 8 at home, and 5-0 in their last five as a home favorite. The Jays should take this one.

TEXAS(EV)- I like the Rangers in this spot tonight. They have Padilla on the mound, he is 11-5, and the Rangers 14-5 in his starts. The Rangers flat score for this guy. He is 8-2 on the road with an ERA of 4.67. I still don't trust Gallagher against good comptetion. He was good in Yankee stadium last saturday, but he seems like the type of guy that the Rangers will be able to lock in on. Duchscherer pitches tomorrow against Harrison, so I think the Rangers are aware that they'd better get theirs tonight, as that is just an awful match-up on the mound for them tomorrow night. The Rangers play the A's well(7-3 L10), and have already taken 2 of 3 from the A's three times this year. The odds snuck up on me in this one. I could have caught the Rangers at +110 earlier, but I'll still take them at even odds for $50...The Jays I took for $65 by the way.

Happy Friday buddy.

Really liking the Rangers today.  Like the Jays too, but can't lay that much juice with Parrish.

I feel that bro...Batista is SOOOO bad though. I like the Mets too. Has anyone seen the covers experts? They like St.Louis...8 out of 10 of them

2 great write-ups, Nation. Don't mind layin the lumber with a gut like Parrish. He's "got the stuff", and he's not yet a household name.
 
Vinny Padilla is having probably his best year. Had Gallagher a couple of weeks ago, at home for his first time with the As. That was then...Go Vinny today.

MILWAUKEE(-160)- The Brewers are on an absolute run. They went 7-0 on their road trip, and returning home I don't see them tripping up tonight when Houston comes to Miller Park. Manny Parra is 5-0 at home with a 2.87 ERA. The Astros have handled him twice this year, but they look as if they're on auto-pilot right now. They didn't show up in that Pittsburgh series, and can't be coming into Milwaukee with much confidence. The Stro's are 9-19 on the road as an underdog when Rodriguez pitches, and 8-17 overall in their last 25 on the road with him on the mound. The Brewers are 14-3 in their last 17 vs. LHP. Also, they are 6-1 as a favorite in their 7 with Parra on the hill. The Brew-Crew should take this one with ease tonight.
