What do you think, guys? Do we blame Dave Roberts for starting a fading and worn out Shohei Ohtani on 3 days rest when Ohtani has always started on 5 or 6 days rest, or should we acknowledge that Ohtani was the best option to start?

And when I describe Ohtani as “fading and worn out”, l mean both on the mound and at the plate.

The "Ohtani rule" allows a starting pitcher who also serves as the designated hitter (DH) to remain in the game as the DH even after being removed as the pitcher.

MLB .. just can’t stop changing the rules.
