Most definitely swung to the Canadian team. It's a best of 3 now and Toronto get two home games! And now the Canadians get to face lefty SNELL again!  They torched him last time for 5 earned runs in just 5 ip!  They are one of if not the finest offense when facing lefties!

....so, just 3 pitches in - fans are still being seated to begin the game - and it is already 2 - 0 for the Canadian team, against the lefty, SNELL

Few years back when I were  betting bases often, one poster posted here as team leads 2-0 in the early innings is more likely to lose that game in the end. Shall see, Fubah.

 Indeed the Jays got to SNELL for the second consecutive time, as the lefty starter records back-to-back "BAD outings" at the worst possible time for his team...

SNELL is a fine pitcher.  But the Jays bats against lefties are exceptional.

Meanwhile, OHTANI is an excellent RHP, but he too suffered a "BAD outing" to the Jays powerful bats!

When Toronto DH slugger George Springer is in the lineup, the Jays bats are the BEST in MLB vs righties. His batting avg vs righties is second only to Aaron Judge.  

He's back in the lineup tonight after missing 2 games.

Heading into the game tonight, TORONTO is the BEST team in MLB by a nose...

They lead the series 3 - 2 despite playing 3 games on the road to only 2 home games, and they've outscored the Dodgers 27 - 18

When playing at HOME, they have a terrific .271 BA and .788 OPS!

When on the ROAD the Dodgers numbers are .245 and .726

It's evident the JAYS have all the momentum now,

get their SLUGGER DH back in the lineup,

and are returning home in what I believe is likely to include some "home cookin'"  (ie, more favorable calls at the plate)

TORONTO holds the best HOME record in MLB: 59 - 30  66.3 win% (incl. playoffs)

LA Dodgers this season on the road are:  46 - 42   52.3 win%  (incl. playoffs)

The Series price has swung over to the Canadian team!

With good reason...

Dodgers and their 52.3% ROAD win% must win 2 consecutive games against the best team in MLB who are 66% win rate at HOME and only need to win ONE game (of two possible home games)...

 JAYS appear to have the edge in the bullpens!

In my view, while the EXCELLENT Dodger's starter YAMAMOTO does have an edge vs Gausman, that edge might not be as significant as some might think...... 

   As I always say, repeatedly, in all the sports I handicap:

    WE MUST LOOK AT *WHO* THEY PLAYED!

Yamamoto has excellent numbers both at home and on the road

...but he has faced fewer power hitting teams than Gausman has had to face, and he has had the benefit of facing more BAD offenses than Gausman.  Those two factors go into achieving their respective WHIP and ERA numbers!

And now YAMAMOTO is facing the absolute *BEST* offense in MLB vs righties, at home...AGAIN!

Yes, he won their matchup in game 2. (Both he and Gausman pitched well last Saturday)  So we know Yamamoto can do it. But twice in succession against the best offense in MLB??? 

We shall see if Yamamoto and Dodgers can repeat...

I expect JAYS will likely intentionally walk OHTANI (good reasons!)

And I expect LAD will intentionally walk Guerrero (good reasons!)

But what about George Springer?? He's even BETTER than Guerrero!

From my view the "value play" here may be taking the PLUS MONEY in a matchup of two equal opponents.  If the Dodgers win they will make Toronto plus money again for game 7.  TORONTO (66% home win%) only needs to win ONE of the final two games as a PLUS MONEY dog - despite arguably being the better team overall and playing at home!

This could sooooooo easily be a tied, low scoring game after 6 innings....then we get into the bullpens for both teams - as I believe there is just no way YAMAMOTO goes 9 full again or even past the 6th....

Either starter could be pulled NOT NECESSARILY because the opponents got to him, but rather the pitch count goes well past 100 ...

GAUSMAN is a fine starter. Make no mistake, the guy is very good, especially given the power hitting teams he has had to face!

 And he just struck out the top of the Dodgers order...

3-0… early… gausman did not look the same with men on base… went much deeper into counts… can dodgers hold lead with Toronto bottom of third.  Second time thru soon.  

If  DODGERS keep their 3 - 1 lead and win tonight, 

then game 7 will feature a very good GLASNOW vs mediocre MAX
