If the +DMI is coming up through the -DMI or ADX its a buy......and vice versa.....RSI has to be trending your way or topped/bottomed out

thanks buck, i know all these questions must be annoying... and not too be too nitpicky, but does the same hold true for the -DMI.  ie - if its coming up through the +DMI or ADX its a buy and vice versa?

if the -DMI line is coming up through +DMI,then you could say the +DMI is going down through....so its a sell.....see what im saying?
 
as for -DMI and ADX i dont trade those

So do you have preferences as to the combinations you trade?

Since there are about 20 combinations it would be tough to track all of them and it also seems there are higher spreads on some versus others.

GBP/USD chart looks toppy.

I trade mostly in the USD pairs and the EUR/GBP.......i dont mess with the large spread carry trades unless i see a perfect 4hr chart....when those large spreads start moving you can get killed pretty quick

When i log in i will go through the 4hr on all the USD prs and a few EURs...JPY,GBP
 
I usually keep a sheet of notebook paper at my desk as im scanning and i write down the ones that i like or the ones closest to being ready.....then ill start looking through the shrt term charts on what i wrote down....

Here is another q and maybe you have answered this, but do you trade any of these off the stock markets, so if the general markets are up/down, to me usually that has an effect on treasuries and currency markets?

we missed the cross on the 4hr USD/CAD...coulda sold in the upper 1.2070-80s
 
 
CHF is pushing its way back up and the chart hasnt changed

That drop on the $/USD would have netted 50 plus pips right there.

Wall i really dont care whats going on anywhere else.....i know i could prob make more $$$$ if i did but i just trade the chart,it cost me once[the $11 spike in crude]but that was really because i jumped in too early and didnt average right and i  wont make that mistake again

Hey buc, any chance you could throw a screenshot of the GBP/USD chart up on tinypic.com? I'm looking at mine and just don't see any of the stuff you see. On my 4hr RSI was right in the middle and nothing was crossing or even close.

buc, what about the USD/JPY 4hr chart.  +DMI seems to be going down through the ADX.  or are we too late there

ORC....GBP was a bottom not a cross

POP move your mose to the time of or just b4 the cross that was in the 15:00 block

That takes guts, failure of the triple top could retest 1.1865, if that fails then 1.18350

did we miss a sell of GBP/JPY around 10pm
 
based on 4hr chart looks like cross around 10pm and 30mins show drop from 10pm-11pm... no way of seeing the cross from the 4hrs charts at 7pm though!
