Winds from the WEST all night and mixed precipitation will be falling throughout but never very heavy
-this is good for horses that can leave or get into the top 5 and get covered up and then move when the opportune time comes
-JMAC should have another sick night again...6-7 wins last night!!
-the occasional closer might win a race so if you have 3 or more speed horses who like to get to the front, include a couple of the fastest closers to figure in the race

The KEY won....I saw the horse on the track and just decided to key #7 on 2 tickets and do some back up Pick3's because they would pay very well with 2 tough races after this

I am not confident with the 5th race so I am fishing for LONGSHOTS in the 3 races before it so it can pay well and then I can bet across a bunch of horses to back up
If #4 wins and it is ideal in this wind and off of a win 4 days ago, it should pay well at 15-1 morning line
-took drop horse
-add hot horse stepping up as they tend to go back to back....that was an impressive mile despite company in its class!
Winds are moderately strong Saturday from the NW.....outside horses get a push into the first turn if they go for it to get to front end
24-35 km winds that will get lighter by the 2nd half of the card
Race 1 > only like 136 based on form and drivers ...might throw in #2 with visual inspection in post parade and scoring the horse and one other??
Race 2 > asking Jodi to win again vs a very talented group , is not logical so I am leaving out #2 and doing a double with Yacht Seelster and Got Swagger instead
KEY #4 - AMAC to JMAC!!! ....this horse should romp if he carves out the steer JMAC is known to do
-will do a second ticket with ALL and #3 in race 1
Race 3 > think all you need is 14 ....but I saw how Century Heineken looked on the track last week and it would have won the race if not a break and giver 6-10 lengths off the gate ...I had the horse keyed for a payout of $600 last Saturday
-NO FREE LUNCH was prepping for NA Cup and always liked this horse and has JMAC so beware

Race 4 > tough race to find consistent form > don't like #1 ....got his win from the middle of the gate and now has to navigate around some good horses...pass

like 3 ... don't like this #4 ...MAYBE >>> #5 despite lasix and JMAC ....the horse pukes down the lane and others will pounce on it...think JMAC will try the horse 2nd over or 1st over to see what it can do with the lasix
-#6 is interesting with LUC ROY who will leave probably ...no commitment
LOVE #7 > Henry will point this horse to the front I bet
-if Sylvain was driving better and inside, I would put #8, although that is an interesting TRAINER CHANGE!!

#6 WIRED THE FIELD by 10 lengths to 3/4 but then got caught by #3 and almost #1 and #2..... it was close!
SO...#1 in the 3rd race beat #3 in the qualifier by 13 lengths under wraps but now #3 beats #1 in a real race...easily??
Strange...I cut back the #3 so I am out

Winds are pushing drivers off the gate and down the home stretch.....good for both fast movers and closers
Race #1 - Can't see #6 losing except for the driver booking off of it and going to #1 who has Julie Walker training and she has explosive first time trotters ....if they don't win first race, they tend to win within 3
-would take #3 normally since driver and trainer are good trotting people but has been off a month
MIND YOU ....with young trotters, its best to take 3 or more due to weather/breaking issues.... unless the horse looks sound and has JMAC driving it first time to calm it and give a middle of the pack steer to the first half....Sylvain, used to do this but he is more aggressive this year and that is why he is not as successful with the young horses

Race 2: -only need 15 ....I am convinced, Travis Cullen or his wife/trainer bets hard on some races because he took an easy group last week and went right to the back of the pack with a good post and just sat there until the 5/8 to 3/4 mark and then was whipping his horse like crazy trying to get 3rd 
....very curious stuff but it makes sense because he wasn't getting claimed which surprised him dropping down and so he just wanted an easy paycheque and save the horse for the next race where I bet tonight he is claimed after the 55'3 back half!
-the wind is ideal for Travis' style of racing ....come 2nd over or first over near the top of the lane
Longshot #7 > improving and dropped down last race
If you hear #5 is claimed, only take 157 .....if not claimed.....TAKE ALL on a hunch or just 12457
Race 3 > interesting tactics will be played in this one....I figure JMAC on #5 will stress #9 to the lead and be happy to sit in pocket or 3 hole and come first over when he feels the time is right
Longshot > 6 is primed for a win....just need an off track and speed battle and they just might get it!!
Take > 59 or 569 depending on your finances
Race #4 > really like #2 a lot!! ..... Roger Mayotte's horse #3 showed how the lasix is beginning to work...parked the whole way and held a position down the lane
#8 is ready for a big race as well.....think Luc Roy will move for position .... #1 merits strong consideration the way Austin Sorrie is making a name for himself the way Bob McClure did 2 seasons ago and that says a lot for Benoit to see that in him!
.....467 don't have the gate speed or horse power to fend off the 3 I like above.....DANCER HALL has issues....throw him in because he has JMAC and maybe the trainer has him right now???

Anyone know what’s up with Doyle going back to Western Fair? Figured he’d be back soon enough, but not like 2 months soon. Hard to see why anyone would think it’s a good idea to become Racing and Wagering “Development” manager at a track like Century Downs in Alberta - where one of 2 cards a week is on a Tuesday afternoon and they don’t even have lights installed I believe. Baffling.
