Innis & Gunn, its a Scottish beer that is fermented in oak barrels that previously held bourbon.  Great taste with a 8% punch.

1) Rochefort Trappistes 10
2) Stone Imperial Russian Stout
3) North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout
 
That's "beer nerd" beers though...

Out of the stuff you can find at Wal-Mart, I'd take:

1) PBR
2) Rolling Rock
3) Sierra Nevada

@Lou:  sounds like a local microbrew.  Where is it brewed?  Canada?  Pacific Northwest?  I like all kinds but like the black lagers, especially the new Guiness Black Lager.  Shiner Beer out of Texas makes a good black lager too.

Yes, I'm a huge fan of the Sammy Smith Beers. Their "Pure Brewed Lager" is one of my favs.

Best dark beer I've tasted.......... 

Domestic:

Sam's  "Octoberfest" & "Winter lager"

I stock pile cases of this to get through the year.......
