This line is surprising to me. Texas has been overrated and squeaking by all year.
Pretty equal talent all over the field, Vandy has the MUCH better QB.
Am I insane or is Vegas insane?

On pure talent, Texas is vastly superior...But, on team cohesiveness and coaching, and motivation, Vandy has a big advantage this season...Texas will have home field...
I won't touch it...But I would not be surprised with a Vandy win...I would caution on the optics...Texas D will keep them in any game, though Miss St. was not a good recent example... If Vandy does win, I do believe it will be a close game...
Hook em' Horns!

If you wait .....you should be able to get Texas ML, or even as a dog
Texas will be my top play - IF Arch is out

Wow… nothing logically tells me to me says play Texas … vandy has shown to be a very good team… very good imo…..bama…lsu ..and mizzou back to back to back…. That’s a very difficult 3 games…..Texas has shown shite……but I am a horrible gambler… I will just watch this one. These are the types of moments when I shook my head after a loss… unexplainable to me. You did say if…. Arch out. Come on arch.

Yeah man, just Missouri, LSU, South Carolina -- all teams that have taken the "anyone" teams to the edge. (SC almost beating BAMA, etc.) I get what you are saying, but you obviously have not watched them play ball, or if you have, then maybe you were already blacked out -- but that is just a terrible take -- Vandy is no joke. Not positive they beat Texas, but they most certainly can.
Maybe lay off the booze @drunkbettor

Don't get tangled up in these silly narratives spewed out by barstool idiots.....
TEXAS SUX! ARCH WORST EVER! DIEGO FOR HEISMAN!....
You remember them struggling vs UTEP at home (big time) - but in Arch's first game they outgained Ohio State on the road (nation's best team), by over 100 yards, and later whipped OU (Arch was solid). Both games their D totally shut down talented O's. So the conclusion is ..... they stand little chance vs VANDY? How does that make sense?
Back away - consider the BIG PICTURE. Looks like to me, they tend to play to the level of their opponent.
>> At home/ backs to the wall - a line that tells you Vandy is the better team.....
The play is Texas - or nothing, at the current line - Vandy should a 3'/4 point dog

This is your week amigo
Turn that frown around, and back the Horns in this fantastic spot of theirs this week..
Vanderbilt is in the weeds here and could be in for a welcome to Austin ass kicking. I have Horns by 6. Can’t wait. Let’s rolllll BEVO! Hopefully Sarkisian stays out of the way of the talent on the field and let them perform. Or else….hmmm. Lots of terminations going around. Mess around with another loss or two and then a loss to A&M…hmmm.
Horns home field leaves a lot to be desired as far as mojo and domination… Austin has never held a candle to College Station, there’s really not much intimidating at all about the cavern stadium with the cute drum and little cannon. Haha. The frat boys in the khakis and white oxfords are comedy…black hats, boots
…can barely hear em for some reason…acoustics or whatever.
This game will be different…. Despite the average Austin home environment, Hook em will play above average and be focused for a change.

GL Dudes,
BA…. Went back and looked at some Texas stats… they have run the ball fairly well and defense has been outstanding at times…. Possibly on the improve… only had 8 first downs vs Kentucky… but had lead in fourth qtr…. Outgained OSU… but we’re behind 14-0 in fourth qtr… I have not watched Texas play 15 minutes this season… but have seen maybe 1.5 games total vandy has played…. Now take that I’m a s Missouri dude… no spring chicken…. So when vandy goes toe to toe with bama physically…. It catches my eye…. I want to see if that is real…. And vandy is now a good football team… they pass my eye test….. I’m gonna just watch. On the road after these 3 games for vandy… I’d think most would be pretty beat up. But I hear ya. I don’t think I said easy… I think I said vandy off 3 very tough games… this should be easier game for them… but looking at Texas defense stats… it’s gonna be another slobberknocker…. If Texas offense gets going… they will be a tough out…I say vandy pulls it out … similar to mizzou game…. my 2 cents.

Good man, but missing the point.....
SOME TEAMS - SIMPLY PLAY TO THE LEVEL OF THEIR OPPONENT
* Ga Tech is one - Texas is another to a lesser degree. See all the love for Duke a few weeks back? Duke won the stats, but got their azz kicked...... again. On PAPER, Duke was better.
As a coach, you can't expect MAX effort from your players every week (with rare exceptions - eg. Indiana). On the average, it's about 4-5X/year maybe. So, as a coach you pick your spots. For Texas their talent is often enough, but like we saw in 2023 - I watched them struggle to block Rice for 2-3 quarters, later a life/death struggle with Wyoming - but then they kicked the crap out of Bama on the road.......
WHY does this happen? Many coaches have problems motivating players for lessser opponents - some, like Kirby Smart, don't want to - they want MAX effort for the big games, just a W for minor ones.
HERE - you expect them to play like they did vs Kentucky/Miss St.? They damn sure might, but it makes little sense.
*side note - vs lesser D's (Bama/Mizzou/LSU) - Pavia has completed 59% / 6.4-att / 2 TD-2 INT. In the passing game - he's a liability.
