Texas will always field a sturdy defense under Strong, only thing that scares me away from Texas+10 is Swoopes at QB, how much has he improved in the offseason?
my book has NW+12.5, gonna wait for 13 or 13.5, IMO the spread will be bet up to that by then

If you want to copy my picks all year I'll just give you my sportsbook logins & you don't have to wait for my posts
& the more I look into the Texas game the more I think it's a grinder, the horns offense will stink most of the year but defense will play hard regardless & they have great athletes, spread feels high & nd is always overvalued it seems, that said, backing that horn offense makes me cringe & want a therapist, think I'll pass on that game
I am gonna need your password to follow you all season..... cause lord knows you are gonna stop posting after the haters get to you by week 4!

We're all coughing on that chalk, should be up 28 at half, the ponies are in trouble imo
Yep, its one of those games theres no other way to go and no capping needed. Baylor should put up 55+....If SMU can put up more than 3 tds then so be it.

Train - tell me why you like CMU in week 1. 1st year coach, team gave up 49 to WKU in the bowl game, only returns 10 starters. Ok St returns upstart QB, top 3 WRs, #3 JC RB recruit in the country in Carson who switched from Georgia to Ok St on signing day. A lot of the pundits are predicting a 30+ point win for the Pokes. Its sounds like this is your top pick. Please tell us why? Thanks in advance...
Whats up brother!!? Its not my top pick, just one of the 1st games listed ( I went down the line)
Why do I like CMU?
1) Home game
2) Night home game
3) Thursday night home game
4) Led the MAC in defense last year and face a fairly new qb
5) Ok St lost 28 seniors
6) Ok St RB should be good, but hes only gonna have a month of practie to learn & adjust
7) CMU going from a 4-2-5 to a 4-3-4 , which should shore up things in the intermediate game if the LBs can perform....
8) Of course the pundits are predicting a 30 point win!! I'll side with the linemakers
Just my 2c and it game #1, so CMU could get beat by 60 or win SU.....gotta love college football!!

Love all the carpet bombing you do to an entire betting sheet! No stone, or game, is left unturned!
Games that caught my eye:
Michigan-I think Wolverines come out with their hair on fire due to Harbaugh. And this is coming from a Spartan by marriage......
Baylor-same old, same old, only now, they've got a 400 lb. Tight End!
Northwestern is supposed to be much improved. Lots of people here in Cali think Stanford can be a "sleeper". Should cover. Would love to see the spread go to 13.5
Penn. St.-Temple cannot step up to BIG10 class. Franklin has to get Hackenburg to 20 tds, only 10 picks.........
WKU/Ill getting a lot of love-I commented in another thread that WKU had three Over/Unders OVER 70-and they covered THEM ALL!

Train, I forgot to mention you as one of the very best cappers on the site. I appreciate your info and insight. So, enough ass-kissing...I was womdering about your thoughts on Michigan Moneyline at Utah. Is it too soon to expect UM to win a game like that?

Michigan needs talent first of all...Harbaugh is not a God and this isn't like Meyer taking over Ohio State...Michigan doesn't have an experienced qb or rb or goto wr yet...they'll be good in couple years

You can take Michigan +6 straight to the bank. To the guy claiming Michigan "has no talent," you couldn't be more wrong. The biggest problem with Michigan last year was Devin Gardner and that horrid offense Doug Nussmeir ran. Devin was a turnover machine.
Looking at this year, Morris was a top QB recruit who has hardly played at all...pretty hard to write the kid off. He has a big arm and throws a nice ball needs someone to DEVELOP him...if anyone can do that, Harbaugh can. The Oline is experienced and OC Tim Drevno has shown positive results everywhere he's been in getting them to perform. RB...Ty Isaac...big/fast/former 5 star #1 RB in class. He sat out all of last season due to the transfer rule. WR Darboh was said to have All-American capabilities, then blew out his ACL and sat 2 seasons ago. Canteen and Chesson have plenty of speed. Last season, the QB couldnt get these kids the ball because he was a turnover machine and Nuss' offense was terribly conservative. They NEVER threw downfield. There is also some talk about using Peppers on offense this year too. For those who dont know, he was the #2 recruit in the 2014 class behind only Fournette. He is blazing fast and a freak athlete....he was injured game 1 on his 2nd punt return last yr. Those who have seen him during spring camp say he is going to be one hell of a player.
Specifically about the Utah game.... their best player, RB Booker, will be running into the teeth of Michigan's strength...the DL. They are very good and very deep here. The LB's are all SRs and pretty good as well. Utah's WR corps is gone. UM CB Lyons transferred from Stanford and is said to have NFL talent, but came to UM to play for Harbaugh, whom initially recruited him at Stanford. With Peppers and Lyons in the secondary...passing the ball wont be easy. Utah couldn't even muster a single offensive TD in their spring game....maybe some consideration should be given to the UNDER
So yes, there is no shortage of talent at UM whatsoever. They need a coach who can leverage that talent and win. Harbaugh CAN do that. Utah is going to have their hands full on thursday night. My 2 cents

Also....Utah is breaking in a new OC this year. UM's defense was ranked #7 in total defense last season. Not too bad considering the amount of time they spent on the field with Gardner turning the ball over left and right. Off the top of my head, the only player on defense not returning is Jake Ryan. 5 yr SR Desmond Morgan sat out all yr with an injury and will play. Add Peppers and Lyons and this defense is capable of being even better.

Husky you make a lot of really good arguments and a few I weren't aware of. Thank you. Another factor to consider: Rice-Eccles. Anyone in the Pac12 will agree it is one of the toughest places to play - especially on the road, at altitude, first game out. Also Utah too has a lot returning and are hungry. Since joining the Pac12, by Coach Whittingham's own admission (at Pac12 media day this year) they have signed a level of talent they had no chance at prior to joining - this is a factor much overlooked in sports reporting generally. The game for me is a pass but I hear you on the potential for significant improvement from the Wolverines and wish you good luck week 1. You may be right!
