Once the data comes in for 3 weeks, I live it strongly for the rest of the season and some bowl mismatches if teams are serious...and playoffs.

ESPN SP+ has been strong at predicting top 6 last year and top 10 previous year fairly close .... but within the 30-100 ranking percentile, you can find them changing their numbers to reflect things happening as the season goes to help with SOME plays ...but Spottie, I really press come PLAYOFF TIME and in Nov - Dec

All I look for is consistency in data....and have watched Vegas align with Sagarin and Massey in basketball but it was not helpful.... for NCAAF ... Sagarin ratings close to the Top 25 but not always...I want my own so yes, I have compared 2023 beginning to end, and 2024 beginning that I am going to simulate week by week and the lines associated ....look for patterns and now that we have a BEGINNING for 2025........voila... look for patterns in past years to see how SP+ changes this year with lines and perhaps, occasionally exploit

WOW, i just inputted the 2025 SP+ off/def rankings beside last year's list and teams how they finished and you know what.....
I think I have stumbled upon something to exploit...... record is synonymous with Off - Def ratio that corresponds with likely finishing record!
And here is the other part.....I can figure out how a team will likely do based on the Aug 14th release of ESPN's SP+ final pre-season ranking. I believe, based on what I just looked at, every team with a significantly better defense than offense did very well and if their defense was 15 ranks higher than their Off ranking from preseason Rank 25th-75th, that was enough for a bowl invite and in some cases, a good bowl invite based on their record.
There were 10 teams in this instance.
Those teams record for winning seasons > 10 - 0 winning record (7-6 was worst, 8-5 was 2nd worst ....all the rest are higher win totals!!)
Conversely, when I look for Offensive teams with a defense 18 ranks worse than their offense,....... I get the following result:
In ranks 25th - 75th >> 17 teams like this >> winning records = 1 - 16 record!! >> LIBERTY was the only team with a winning record and they did not improve their defense or offense.....so an outlier basically / good timing in their games or weak division/schedule!
