The line would be reversed if CAL would have beat Nevada last week....But they clearly didn't ... Riley's cross field INT .....

Not sure about this Matchup ... The BYU defense has looked pretty soft ... Nevada looks to have it's best offense in years ??? Maybe finally a D that can make stops (at times)

BYU might win outright.

I see a sluggish nevada team coming in after that emotional win last week.

I love the nevada team but each year they show they have a choke or two in them, this might be the week..... especially since the public will be all over Nevada after "seeing" them on national TV

I think BYU wins outright. With that being said, their D looked sluggish. I'm staying away from the one but BOL!

Looks to easy here Navada seems to be the better team with the high power offense, BYU @ home +3.5 as a home dog, something to consider ??

Nevada will pistol whip the BYU D early and wear them down on through the rest of the game. Just too many weapons.

Well, since its absolutely silly to bet on a team that looked like world-beaters on National TV the week before, this is arguably the only way you could go on this game.

I have gambled for 20 years and I always follow trends and look at history but in this case history works against BYU; this is not the same Nev team; they were 1-21 against CAL and blew them off the field; now they are 2-21; BYU has their worst off and def teams in a decade and now face an offense and defense that Cal coach said could play with anyone. Nev will be coming in brimming with confidence so no letdown in rivalry game.

Ok like OU is 68-2 at home with an average margin of victory of 57-16; I played on that in the FSU game and if not for that last play td they win by 37 which is just on that number. How is BYU is such a great spot; they just got blasted two weeks in a row and are beat up by FSU; now face a fresh, brimming with confidence team that just beat one of their biggest nememis ever. BYU lost Nelson their starting qb who is playing double duty with the other qb. BYU is 100th in offense and on top of that only averaging 4.6 yards per play; one of the worst in NCAA; BYU every year is in the top 25 in offense; plus their defense is very suspect. So please tell me how this is such a GREAT SPOT for BYU. They have no confidence; no offense or defense; they are playing at home but face a team that is balanced on both sides and can run and pass. GL on your play. You like BYU I like Nevada. Leave it at that.

Exactly.  I've seen dozens of people on message boards refer to the NV/Cal game as some kind of beatdown, but it was actually a close game where NV got a few breaks Cal didn't.  Cal was taking control in the 3rd and probably wins by 2+ scores if Riley doesn't throw that awful pick 6.

Before the game, I said on here that NV would probably choke the game away in key situations with fumbles, and they basically did, but got all the lucky bounces(recovered two, had one reversed because of a penalty).  Make no mistake, this is the same soft bunch of chokers we've known from previous seasons. 

For those of you who aren't versed in the ways of Chris Ault, I would suggest you do your research before sinking your cash into him in this kind of spot.

Beatdown?  Cal had more yards than Nevada, but the difference was basically a couple of terrible INTs and a missed 4th down conv inside the NV 15.  Sometimes the final score doesn't tell the whole story...

Throw all previous Nevada comparisons out.  This is a special and mature team, perfectly recruited and suited to run Ault's Pistol offense. There hasn't been a team like this in Reno...ever. 

Admittedly, @ BYU is always a tough spot, but The Pack should have no problem running the ball down the Cougar's throats.  The only way BYU has a shot, is if Kaepernick turns the ball over 3+ times.  We all know, you can't 'cap turnovers. If that happens, I lose.  For me, I'm gonna stake my cash on the solid belief that there is no way in hell BYU can outscore this squad, all things being even.

The Pack gets the win here.

You heard it here first...The Pack is going undefeated this year, including a win vs. Boise @ Reno on Friday, Nov. 26.

Roscoe, I haven’t followed your picks before but I have followed BYU over the last three years, going to all the home games, watching all the away games that are televised. I am telling you, this is not the same team as in other years. As bad as their defense has been the past two weeks, their offence has been worse. They have only scored points in two of the last eight quarters, and to echo Handicapper33, not having Reilly Nielson in there will enable the Wolfpack to unleash on Heaps in the pocket. Last week, he was sacked something like 8 times. The O-line was supposed to be a strength for the team and they are looking terrible with Heaps back there. I will be at the game, pulling for BYU but having my money on Nevada. I will be happy if you win. Good luck bro!

                                                                             Called Nevadas undefeated season when all the discussion over VT/ Boise ST  Labor day game was on tap Swizz.  You hit the nail right on the head.  Many third year players on offense who "get it"   The pistol offense needs 11 guys all on the same page.  Think they've got their "book markers" in order.  BOL this week and might even add to my Nev play.

I just posted it in another thread, and another poster (jdnmoney) said it better than me, but Air Force ran for 400 yards against BYU.  FSU ran for 280.  Ault's run based Pistol spells HUGE trouble for BYU...especially with Kaepernick ability to run it to perfection.

The Pack is going to run the ball straight at BYU, and there ain't a damn thing the Cougars can do about it.
