Amazing isnt it.....

Should teach everyone a lesson about greed i suppose.

Cowboys gave him a massive contract to sign and he didnt sign up...

Would his value still be the same after the season ending injury?

Shoulders are very very very dodgy

Why is it greed? He like all league/union players have a short window to make good money so he is simply doing the best for himself.

Btw some reports have him out for the season others say 4-6 weeks

Conflicting at the moment, will probably know for sure on Monday

With his shoulder history I would have advised him to sign, but he chanced it. What was the offer anyway?

Sounds like it depends if he has surgery.

I thought 500k was the limit for one player/

Rugby league players greedy?


There probably the lowest payed pro sportsman on earth


A NFL punter probably gets more then Thurston
A bullpen pitcher probably gets more then Thurston





Players like Thurston should be on millions and millions a year but obviously Australia doesn't have the population to sustain large contracts.

This is where I honestly think league doesn't understand how to defeat or get around competing sports and weekend leisure activities.

There is a reason why the NFL doesn't play Saturdays or even Fridays, but they own Sundays and Mondays, thereby absolutely owning half the sporting year. That and league needs to make it more TV friendly.

Especially when you see what these guys are put through every day of every week during the season
