Tried to switch from Pro V1X to regular Pro V1

My course has really firm small greens and I need a little more spin out of my short game. Unfortunately the experiment was short lived as hitting the regular Pro V with a driver feels like hitting an old Balata ball. Seriously, this thing goes everywhere and spins like crazy, Im a high swing speed guy and I need more control off the longer clubs.

Anyone have the same experience who ended up trying a new ball that is a mix and match  ?

love the regular Pro V, i feel like im the only guy at my club that plays it. 

Matter of fact, I had to play an X last weekend because thats all i had and hated the way it sounded coming off the putter

just personal pref. i guess

There is no question that the regular prov spins more tends to float and squirt in a breeze very easy to upshoot the ball still an excellent ball I'm not a fan of the X but it does fly lower and drifts less in the wind. I have been playing the new taylor made penta which alot of folks don't like but I'm playing well with the ball and like it just fine.

Try the Bridgestone B330S   I just switched from the Srixon Z Star X to Pro v1x but headed to Bridgestone soon.  I like to curve it a little bit at times and I need something between the Pro V and the x.

Taylor Made Penta for me...not incredibly fast of a swing for me, but I found the same thing with the ProV1...and ProV1x
