There comes a point where you must ask what is wrong with our government.

Trump and Vance dug in to hold food and medicine millions of poor Americans as a bargaining chip.

Meanwhile Democrats appose approval to fund Federal workers who have had to work without pay for over a month now.

Senate old standing rules may have to be revisited.

There was a Senator who became president Lincoln once said a majority no matter how slight a majority is the majority and the will of the people. I know this is paraphrase so if you Google it I am sure his actual words have similar meaning.

Cnn reports a bill to fund Federal workers was rejected in a 53-43 split in the Senate , three Democrats broke ranks and voted for the bill including Warnock and osloff of Georgia... 

Maybe it me but that is as bipartisan as it gets in that town.... It time we need serious changes in approach and personal because the " nuclear option" and bypass the debates is a viable solution.

Before 1980, federal agencies operate during government shutdowns.  That changed after justice department determined that federal agencies lack authority to continue running during gaps in funding under the law.  For years, both parties in congress have proposed legislation to end practice of shutdowns but without success.

Wow, I guess it's valuable to insert some sort of reality into this... such as... the "extra" ACA subsidies were only supposed to be in place for a few years... but 'ya know.  Democrats want to keep the free money flowing to their constituents.   So, keep the government shutdown if that's what it takes.    We are seeing the true pigs at the trough.. That's all I got to say.   Any of you dependents not on Social Security got to look in the mirror.  

Democrats want to take this country Socialist.  And that means declining standards of living for everyone, but particularly those that want to make something of themselves if that were to become reality.  Democrats have worked hard over the last few decades to eradicate any semblance of hope for the youth... Thus, the assasination of Kirk, and repeated attempts on Trump. 

They keep mentioning “Scandinavia” as their template - from what I have heard:

1) None of the Scandinavian countries are socialists

2) All of them have higher standards of living than the US

3) You have never tried anything but 100% democratic capitalism - so how would you know how another system would work - clearly a large procentage of your population have given this system a fair chance - not happy about the results that it brings 

I have to give you credit talking into the void of smooth minds as much you do.  These people will never give you objective examples of anything and you can't have objective conversations with people who don't even know what fucking facts are.  They literally sound like AI chat bots that are programmed to parrot everything that is heard from right wing media!

Did you happen to google Denmark's unemployment numbers before you made a fool out of yourself online?

How about Denmarks unemployment numbers for non-westerners? I Google it and found it at 50%. No wonder Denmark goes all out to prevent immigration of non-whites and then creates discrimintory laws to segragate non-westerners. If Denmark had the racial makeup of the United States..............one can only imagine.

Who is "they"?? When I Google "Scandinavia Socialism" I see Left leaning articles claiming it works so well. And 100% capitalism???? The U.S. has almost double the percentage of citizens on some form of government welfare. 

The main difference between capitalism and socialism lies in who controls and who benefits from economic growth in society. Denmark isn't a socialist country - to be honest I don't think there even exist a socialistic country anymore - Scandinavia has the "Nordic model" - it is basically a mixture of the advantages of basically all political movements and ideologies through time - so we also have some of the stuff from capitalism as well - without money being the deciding factor for every single market or political decision - like it is in the US

It comes down to if it improve your personal life that you have people like Elon Musk having 500 billion or you would rather not have homeless people walking around all over the place (and if you want schools etc. being a privalege exclusive for the lucky - or you would like that no matter who your parents were or how rich - you would be born with exactly the same rights and opportunities as Musk son) - Capitalism foster this inequality in society - if you like that or not is of course a personal decision - but I am sure you can see why our way of system looks more enticing for the everyday people 

I am not sure how much you can use those immigrants stats for other than confirming the bias you want - a lot of immigrants here are immigrants that has fled war at some point in time and therefore have tons of physical and psychological damage - we are primarily targeting Loyal to Familia and Swedish immigrants - it would be like you guys targeting immigrants that were part of bloods or something else (immigrants you had catched shooting people from your population etc.) - if that were the case I am sure more people would support what was going on over there than is the case now when you just target random immigrants

Not sure I understand the GOP logic with this because was the barfy bill a balanced budget? Was his toxic conservative corporate budget made to not invoke the proper checks and balances regarding deficit spending?

If the opportunity that the GOP had to 100% control the budget was NOT balanced then there is zero claim to blame the other side period. If there was not deficit spending there would not be the need for the shutdown so that is all there can be said.

Now aside from the obvious blaring truth, why is Trump and the TNC so against a very simple very balanced non-partisan ask about ACA credit extension? Out of pretty much ANYTHING else, this ask is the most reasonable and beneficial to ALL sides request that could be made. Trump refuses to negotiate and that is the bottom line, if he feels that his position is the only position he would let people get gouged 50-100-200% and not give two craps about the impact.

In modern age, all countries need socialism and capitalism.  Fear of socialism is promoted by republican propaganda.  If US becomes a socialist country, it would be as bad as Canada, New Zealand or Germany.  Nothing democrats support will turn US into Russia or Venezuela.  Even if Bernie Sanders implement all of his policies, Americans would benefit from improved qualify of life.  But there would be higher taxes for the rich which they can easily afford.  So what is so bad about this socialism?

The Senate took the first step to end the government shutdown on Sunday after a group of moderate Democrats agreed to proceed without a guaranteed extension of health care subsidies, angering many in their caucus who say Americans want them to continue the fight.

In a test vote that is the first in a series of required procedural maneuvers, the Senate voted 60-40 to move toward passing compromise legislation to fund the government and hold a later vote on extending Affordable Care Act tax credits that expire Jan. 1. Final passage could be several days away if Democrats object and delay the process.

There is enough bipartisan support to end debate. 

This week a bunch of amendments will be voted on before this bill goes to the floor, this process can take a week as Bill after bill is rejected.... Washington knows how to make this as painful as possible in the delay deflect deny stradgy that will end Friday with a vote....

As far as the fringe lunatics on the left have literally lost their minds they want to fight, but the people want government open.... Can someone take the wine jug away from Nancy's followers in the Senate....

Bernie Sanders, etc., primarily mention Scandinavia. It isn't like they want you to become a socialist country like the USSR or a communist country like China. Wouldn't it make sense to investigate how those countries they strive towards are doing? If you want to have an opinion on the matter? Denmark give more money to unemployed people, so it is "better" for people who don't work here, as you so bluntly put it in your original post. Yet, we have almost half the unemployment rate that you do. That makes you think, doesn't it? If not, that only shows me that you have no interest in improving your own country but rather just have learned some cue words - to have a hate towards.

Or if they mention Canada or whatever - then check facts about said country - I don't mind you not caring about Denmark believe it or not - but it would do you a lot of good - to check a specific country and not just go off what Fox News tell you to think about a political ideology - because as I said before you have most likely never experienced anything but capitalism

I hope he gets him for an attorney again... He really deserves that type of council when he trying to starve America....
