Getting Becton back will be huge, assuming he's active. The Chargers weak link is their offensive line. They went in with 4 1st round picks on their starting O-line (Rawshan Slater, Zion Johnson, Mekhi Becton, Joe Alt) to just one last week (Johnson). Herbert was under duress and has been the most pressured QB (along with Flacco, I think?) this season. Even simply bringing back Becton will help a bit.
The Commanders will be without Deebo, and will welcome back a recovering Jayden Daniels. I think you add all of this and it'll be a 1 score outcome either way. It's just a matter of whether either team will cover the field goal spread.
I think the Chargers win but it's one of those games I'd rather just parlay their ML with another game.

What's killed the Chargers so far are 2 defining plays. Even if there wasn't a kick return for a TD by McConkey (which was amazing, by the way), the roughing the kicker penalty gave the ball back to the Commanders. They scored a FG off of that.
That was either a 3 or 10 point swing either way you look at it.
And that QJ fumble earlier in the game. Potentially a 14 point swing there since they scored a TD on that drive after the fumble recovery.
Chargers 2H ML is -145
Chargers ML live (in a tie game) is -120 in my book.

Thanks, man. They looked like the better team after 1 quarter, but we all know football is about playing better than your opponent for the majority of the game.
Can't really defend the Chargers much, but they need to get Mack and Alt back again soon. (Hopefully Mack is fine after his 4-week IR stint.) The Chargers are having trouble generating pressure up front, which leads to a lot of time for receivers to find those soft spots in Jesse Minter's zone defense. That's where Mack comes in. Herbert is playing with way too much pressure in his face due to collapsing pockets. That's where Alt (and, hey, Becton too) come in.
We were supposed to have a 1-2 punch with Omarion Hampton and Najee Harris. Harris has been out, while Hampton has turned into Marshawn Lynch. Now Hampton left the game with a walking boot.
I won't post any Charger plays on here again until much later in the season or maybe if it's a primetime game, if that. It's obvious that emotion plays too much of a factor when capping their games.
