Really tough card today. For sides I could make an argument either way. EDM/WAS? Lean Caps because Edmonton's defense is ass, but do I trust them? Nope. CAL/BUF? I was actually going to take the Flames today because I think Cooley is an upgrade in net for them over Wolf, but Buffalo is starting Ellis again and they've won 2 in a row with him in net. But I don't trust the Sabres either. CAR/MIN? Coin flip. Minnesota is playing well (6-2 last 8), and they have the revenge angle. Canes are the better team. Pass. BOS/ANA? Anaheim solid at home but BOS out for revenge. Passing on all the sides today and trying totals...
CAR/MIN Under 6 (-105) 2.1 units to win 2. Last 10 games: Canes are giving up 2.6 goals per game and Minnesota 2.2 goals per game. Both defenses are playing well and the under has hit 4 in a row for Minnesota at home. Hoping for a 2-2 tie heading into OT (with my Canes winning of course...but I'm not confident about it).
BOS/ANA Over 6.5 (-105) 2.1 units to win 2. I don't expect a 7-5 result like last time these 2 teams met, but both offenses are clicking. Last 10 games: Ducks are averaging 3.8 goals per game; Boston is averaging 3.5. Bruins also struggling defensively a bit, giving up 3.4 gpg in that span. Lean Ducks but too juicy for me and just going to sit back and hope the lamp gets lit.
