WAS ML (-130) 2.6 units to win 2. Over the last 10 games the Caps offense has been awesome, averaging 4.2 goals per game. The Islanders have been good defensively but struggling to score, averaging 2.5 goals per game over their last 10. Losing Palmieri for the season isn't going to help.
CHI ML (+100) 1 unit to win 1. Not going big on this one but my numbers give the edge to the Hawks today. The Ducks aren't as mighty as they once were defensively. They've given up 3.3 goals per game over their last 10 games (3.4 over their last 5) and just lost their #1 goalie to injury, leaving them with Mrazek and Husso, neither of which inspire confidence in net. Hawks are desperate for a win, and I think today they get it.
CAL +1.5 (-120) 2.4 units to win 2. Canes fan here. Injuries are piling up for us, with Staal, Kotkaniemi, Slavin and Kochetkov out, which means we're stuck sending Freddy Anderson out there in goal until we feel Bussi is ready to take on a larger role. The Canes have failed to cover the -1.5-puck line in 10 straight Anderson starts and lost 8 of those 10 straight up. I wouldn't be surprised if Calgary won this game outright, but my numbers have this one at a coin flip, so I'll take the extra 1.5.
DAL ML (-140) 2.8 units to win 2. Over their last 10 games, goals for/goals against: Dallas 4.0/1.9, Ottawa 2.7/2.4. Those Dallas numbers are almost Colorado good. The team playing better offensively, defensively and at home is going to get my pick every time.
