Boston moneyline @+155 I like what the Bruins have done. Last year was a disaster for them (Defense injuries, goalie injuries, goalie trades, couldn't win on the road, fired coach, arguing in the dressing room, fire sale at the deadline). They still have the staples, they get a fresh start here, and I like who they brought in. Keep an eye on the Mittelstadt, Arvidsson, Zacha line. Arvy has a point-per-game against WSH (career), and Mittelstadt has a point in more than half. Zacha? Not so good, but he is a points machine (in general).
Swayman is only 3-6 (lifetime) vs WSH, but he still has a 1.98. That's hilarious. Thompson is 3-1 with the same 1.98. Caps fell apart down the stretch last year, allowing 4+ goals in 8 of their last 11 games. An early exit from the playoffs (again). No milestones for the Caps this year. These teams just met the other day. BOS won 3-1 @WSH. Solid pre-season for the Bruins as long as DiPietro was not in the net.
BOS has solid goaltending, a lot of scoring power, and a lot of incentive to play a strong game tonight to be this big of a dog here.
Vegas Marner Knights -1.5 @+115 Hard to see the Kings fairing any better tonight than last night. In the past couple of years, VGK have been a good puckline team - at home - in the first half of the season. In late December/early January, they always seem to lose their way. The Kings have lost a few players in the last couple years, and I don't know how last night leads to anything positive here. VGK are loaded and if they flash it, it could be another drubbing for LAK.
Stuart Skinner over 24.5 saves @-105 I thought this total was low. CGY are gonna need to fire the rubber to get a piece, here. Maybe it is because Huberdeau is out. Regardless, CGY has gone over 24.5 shots in their last 10 straight games against EDM.
