It's not just THAT play but the series of events that immediately preceeded it!  

1) SO stupid to go for it on 4th down (even though they made it (barely).  You can't move the ball on offense...the risk of giftwrapping the Broncos + territory with 1 minute left outweights the reward of having the ball on your on 36 with one minute left and an impotent offense.

2) Then AFTER they get the first down on the fake, they decide to go conservative...

3) Terrible mismanagement of the clock...The Jets TOOK A TIMEOUT when the SHOULDNT....which could have possibly even given the ball back to the Broncos with time. That's why Glenn even had a decision to make at the end on running the clock out...because if he gors for it and doesnt get it now you have to punt.  a block is in play...a return etc....

Probably one of the worst mismanagements I've seen...This guy is clueless.  God bless the Rooney Rule. It makes me think of College Football too.  UCLA's coach (former NFL Player DeShaun Foster) was a disaster right from the jump starting with his intro presss conference.  Guy was completely lost, had no idea how to run a program...UCLA takes a nosedive in the following 1.25 years under him, clear he doesn't know how to even function.  They fire him because UCLA looks like a Div 2 school under him,  promote people that are capable, and UCLA upsets Penn ST as a 28 point underdog in their first game they are free from Foster's stupidity.  Then win as a dog AGAIN yesterday (and it was a stomp fest).  

Coaching matters. Jets need to cut bait ASAP.

9 times out of 10 (or even 10 out of 10), coaches aren’t going on 4th before the half

risk of injury and they also risk giving the broncos field position on a missed throw with a timeout and Denver can flip it and get a FG going into the half and suddenly everyone wants the jets OC fired for being a dumbass

if anything Sean Peyton is stupid and was giving the jets his timeouts

@My4Girls  A person with football knowledge.. Take advantage of Peyton screwing up with 12 seconds left not calling TO to take that off the board..  Jets call TO with 4 seconds left and let it fly...football 101..

And the commentators were wrong. They were acting all stupified at how neither team was calling a timeout and that it’s crazy

except the jets already burned all 3 timeouts and only Denver had a timeout

 Fearing injury in football is the wrong type of attitude.  Firable offense for sure.  I would can him for somethimg just like that and call him stupid to his face.  Half the GMs in the league are probably gay amd fear going into the locker room...GL

 Lions won with offense last year not defense.  Glenn looked clueless in playoff loss to Commanders last year.  He is in over his head and the QB Fields absolutely stinks
