The Texans stink.  I don't know how they recover from blowing a third consecutive very winnable game.  They were 5-3 and feeling pretty good about themselves and now they're 5-6 and that has to be totally depressing, to think you've turned the corner only to realize you're still the same old Texans.  They must've been walking around like zombies this week, incredulous at the way in which they totally blew their home game against the mighty Colts for the second straight year.  Does anyone remember the incredible choke job last season against the Colts?  And now they pretty much did it again.  How do they recover from that? 

Even at 5-6 they are still in wild card race. SF threw all over them last week and think Texans will do much the same in a revenge game. Taking Texans.

Just shocking how many ppl think this Texans is a decent team. They are god awful and Mario Williams is overrated. His sackes don't come til the end of the season when teams don't give a F.

Texans have no defense and the running game only avg. 3.4 ypc = worst in the NFL.

Slaton won't be playing so Moats will be starting along with C. Brown.

I just don't see how the Texans can win this game on the road. They are just a bad, bad team.

SF have been playing very well with Alex Smith behind the helm and their Run Defense shuts offenses down in their backyard.

I don't see the Texans Run Defense shutting down the Jags at all. Jags have a better chance at the Wild Card than the Texans and will win both teams this yr. against the Texans IMO.

Jags are a strong home team.  Sims Walker and Jones Drew are studs.  Texans are not the same since they lost Owen Daniels.  Lean towards the Jags.

 

They lost 3 key players today: Slaton, Daniels and Jacoby Jones - their big return man.

When you have the worst rush offense in the NFL at 3.4ypc and you go play on the road............hmmmmmmmm.

Both teams have underperformed this season.  O.D's injury has impacted this offense and while they are exlosive at times on O , i hate the coaching.

Speaking of which Del Rio has made some bad decisions as well like limited MJD in certain games especailly when the opponent has been a losing team.

Tough game to pick a winner but one of thhese tema s needs to give the game away.

I prefer to stick with a home team that can run the ball against a team that has problems stopping thr run and is a passing team without a run game.

I cannot believe you are talking up the Jags over the Texans. Do you know anything about the Texans. The only reason this garbage team even has a chance against the Texans is because our DT suck so a run up the middle for short yardage is guaranteed and possible break away. Look at the last loss to the Jags, they lost by one touchdown and had a fumble on the 1 yard line by the backup RB, Chris Brown. This will not happen again.

You say the Texans have no defense, but have you ever heard of the names Brian Cushing, Demeco Ryans, Dante Robinson, and even Antonio Smith and Pollard are playing well. Granted Mario Williams hasn't lived up to his full potential this season, but Texans still have a good defense with few weakpoints.

It is easy to talk them down after these recent losses, but look at the injury of Owen Daniels arguably one of the best TE in the game. Just imagine where the Colts would be without Dallas Clark this season.

This is one of the most explosive offenses in the league, even without Owen Daniels. They are hungry for blood and this team is used to close losses against GREAT teams, they will shake off last week. If Shaub can limit turnovers and Kubiak can learn how to use the clock, Texans win this easy. By the way Moats has proved he has skills, lately he has been a Slaton that doesn't fumble.

Houston will win this matchup.

Houston better ATS record, passing yards per attempt, YPPT, allowing less pass yards, avging more points per game and allowing less per game and better at controlling the TOP and comming from a PHONY lose......Hell, you may be right, this does look like a trap game.  Everything on paper tells me to pound Houston here???

Not talking up the Jags, just stating the FACTS. Texans been sliding? YES, Jags been winning at home? YES...how's that talking up the Jags?

All the names you mentioned.......all good players but the key word is "YOUNG" good players. They are going through growing pains and making alot of mistakes on DEFENSE. What do YOUNG good players do? They play 2 good quarters and stink the other 2. Texans will be great in a few yrs as they are rebuilding that DEFENSE...all the names you mentioned will be great players 4-5 yrs down the road.

Texans win easy? Is that why the spread is only -1???? IN a game where the public expect a split this season and the biggest game for them this season? Texans know if they lose today,,,their playoffs hope is GONE....Too much pressure for a young team on the road vs. Jags who have shown they can win at home.

Jax is 4-1 at home, and their coming off of a loss. Jax. needs a win to stay in the playoff hunt. (they have tougher games coming up)

What really sets this game up is the emotional beating Houston has taken in the last 4 weeks. Houston loses a close one to indy on the road. Bye week- getting all prepared and rested to play Tenn. - Houston loses to Tenn. another close game on Monday night. They Indy again at home and lose again after they had a commanding lead. I believe Houston is to drained to go on the road and win a divisional game. Houston pretty much has to win out for a shot at the playoffs/

Dunta Robinson sucks! Mario Williams has not performed well with the all the double teaming he gets.  Same as Demeco Ryans...Theres a reason Cushing -the rookie is making every tackle or in on every play.  Williams and Ryans get all the respect.  Haven't seen much from Antonio Smith either.  Texans secondary is garbage. Kubiak is pretty much done here as from what I'm hearing and the season is done this year as well.  Even if they did win five in a row(snowball's chance in hell) they would need several other teams to lose.  Not happening.  The Texans are not on a slide. They just straight up can't finish games this year.  Not only are they having problems on both sides of the ball--they don't have a kicker with confidence and their so called kickoff return specialist today Jacoby Jones.  17 pt lead at home against the Colts last week...thats right 17-0 at Home against Peyton Manning and Co. and give up 28 unanswered points.  Felt like Barnum and Bailey were in town.
