being classified as sports entertainment absolutely allows them to influence the game and outcomes one way to another.
but there is no indication anything is scripted or influenced. it's been studied before (good Bloomberg article about it)
it's classified as entertainment because the NFL goes well beyond just sports (think: the Super Bowl Halftime Show).
the reason it goes well beyond sports is...LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY

Ever since I found out about this I’m more cautious with my wagers
if you think the stock market is fair then I don’t know what to tell you privately equity involved makes me automatically think manipulation.. that’s just my opinion
I have seen some calls this season that are head scratchers even the announcers are baffled and literally call out the bad calls on air lol

The private equity crash in America is going to make the 1929 and 2008 disasters look like an economic utopia.
They need your 401K money to bail them out, but it won’t be enough. Your politicians will gladly oblige.

For those who dont believe in riggs. It doesn't take a whole team to rigg a game. People believe it takes a whole team to be in on it lol. When in reality all it takes is 1 player. 1 ref, 1 coach etc...its really that simple to fix a game. But in general, anything that involves lots of money. Can and will have corruption.

Totally agree and danger all around in the shady NFL. I remember when it was a contested sport.

it's not like WWE where everything is scripted and fake. NFL is real and on the up and up. We still see stupid coaches, dumb players and blind refs. While it would be difficult for a ref to fix a game on his own, it's possible and perhaps probable. We've seen it in the NBA. But dont make it out to be something it isnt.
