I notice when Brock has a bad game, there’s at least 10 threads calling him a scrub. I also notice when he goes off, a lot of the forum is quiet. He is 5-0 since coming back, and the offense is rolling. Sure he had a stinker vs. Carolina, but name a qb who doesn’t have a bad game here and there. Mahomes 4 int game, darnold 4 int game, hurts 5 turnover game recently and you barely hear a peep. Stats don’t lie, Brock is a stud. The sooner people realize that, the better for their bankrolls.

No responses only proves my point lol. The threads bashing him would have had at least 2 pages. Keep that same energy when he goes off! I’m not acting like he’s joe Montana, but he’s a damn good qb. Some simpletons just refuse to see it even though the evidence is there.

Define ‘stud’. Top … how many currently? In your opinion?
well he leads the nfl in qbr, so I’d say that’s pretty good. A few years ago he threw for 4,280 yards 31 tds 11 ints with a 113 passer rating. He was 3rd in mvp voting. I’d consider that pretty good. Did you watch the game last night? I’d put him behind mahomes, Allen, burrow, lamar(although not this year really), stafford, and maye . Then he’s on the next tier with but above Herbert, dak, love.

Yessir. Thats about right. He has some issues and tendencies I wish he would clear up. But overall the good far outweighs the bad. I pointed out all of this in a thread a couple of years ago when they went to the playoffs.
That is a good ranking. I would maybe consider Dak a bit above him and Herbert when he is at his best. I think the top group is the ‘studs’. I think he is very close and probably will be there if they can win the SB, for sure.
No doubt Shanahan prefers him. At this point I have to trust him on that because he was absolutely correct to give him the job early on like he did.
I was just curious who you might have liked better than him right now. I mostly agree.

very fair. The only reason I make a thread like this is, people act like he’s a scrub who was just carried. That couldn’t be further from true.

I also wrote in a thread when he first came back about how the INTs were not totally his fault. Sure, he ultimately threw the balls. But like I always say all INTs are not created equal.
He does tend to hold the ball too long and will at times try to ‘place’ it. They always say the worst they about him is that he does not like to ‘give up’ on a play. But that can also be a good thing when he can extend the play and make a good thing happen.
I really wish he still hand Brandon Aiyuk. But he does very well with the weapons he does have. It did not even look like he missed Pearsall. They say he doesn’t not have a very strong arm and lofts it too much. But he still does a great job with touch on his deep balls
I think folks that say he is a scrub maybe lost a bet on him or just are the type folks that do not want to admit they were initially wrong about him.

No, he doesn't lead the league in qbr, but I've always liked Brock.

I posted Bills/49ers super bowl wager a few weeks ago.
Self-reliance is more important than artificial intelligence.

I think he meant the last 3 games after he came back.
He leads in rating at 121.2 and is 2nd in IQR at 136.2.

he literally does. purdy 75.8
maye 73.4
dak 73.1
love 72.9
stafford 71.8
granted he has taken less snaps than the other qbs, but he’s made 7 starts which is a pretty good sample size. He’s 6-1 and the 1 loss his toe was clearly not healthy, he was rushed back.

The Niners health is and always will be the elephant in the room. When Purdy, McCaffrey, Kittle and Trent Williams are ALL healthy, this offense is an unstoppable force. I'm sure there's a way to find out how many games that all 4 of these dudes played together, but it isn't many. George Kittle is questionable for the Bears game...is anyone surprised? https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-george-kittle-suffered-mid-to-low-ankle-sprain
yepp unfortunately health has been killer for this team. If bosa and Warner were healthy, they would be super bowl favorites right now.

I see he does. ESPN did not have him listed for some reason.

lol fn ESPN. Maybe their metric uses a minimum snaps which he hasn’t reached yet. Huntley for mvp!

@jdmoney14 I am not a huge fan of QBR. It does the job. But I feel it misses a few things and overvalues others. But it is a good enough one to show that he is having a fantastic year so far.
