I have this kid I know Im friends with on FB and he loves to brag about winning NFL bets. Rarely shows his tickets. Anyways today he did He played a 4 game parlay hit 3, last leg was tonights game he had O52 or whatevr it was. He tells a story how he knew it would go under but read himself out of it, and took the O52. He laid 100$/3000$. I said to him "thats why you shouldve hedged the U52 for 1k" he says "I know but it was a 4 game parlay" lmao, im guessing he had no idea what I was talking about. So I explained it to him and said "well now ya know" I feel people like that should not be betting at all haha. Just figured Id share a funny story of someone that is clueless to what hes doing.

Had he ended up winning...I doubt you'd be sharing this story. That basically means you are a douche who waits until the results are in....to the ncommence spewing crap.

You even created a thread for the express purpose NOT to tell a story....but rather to rank on and ridicule someone who lost a bet.
Guys like you are why Covers has devolved into the ghetto of sports bettors. Guys like you are the ones who post a play and say "betting 10 units", when, in fact, you haven't got a pot to piss in.

Like the rest of us "experienced" bettors, you learn the hard way. To make things worse, it's not only "hard" but the tuition at the "University of Sports Betting" is also rather quite expensive. Many of us students have had to re-learn lessons over and over again even though we already know the answer. For example, lessons that are learned over and over again include but are not limited to:
Over betting (Betting too many games/events)
Bankroll management (Implementing a "unit" system and at the most betting 1-2 units a day and no more)
Discipline (Maybe only betting 1 game a day, waiting for a REAL opportunity. For the disciplined, even that is too much.)
Sports betting math (Why betting at -110 is different from betting at -115, -120, etc)
I'm slowly having to relearn these lessons even though I've been betting for over 10 years..
"Schrödinger's bet." A bet that loses when you bet it but wins when you DON'T bet it...

The OP put up an excellent and well intentioned post. Why do you come into his thread and insult him for no reason? Are you that starved for attention? Pathetic.

Well-intentioned? When he is clearly mocking the guy for losing? YEAH, OK.
You are a special kind of stupid, my friend. Were you born that way? Or did you take some sort of online course?

There is absolutely no "well intentions" in the op's post. He is essentially calling someone an idiot whom he stated was a friend

This is the best post i have read on here for a long time.
To the newbies both on Covers, and into the gambling world.. read these words carefully, and try to learn from others mistakes.
I have been guilty of these expensive lessons many times over my life, and have been in the game for roughly 15 years. I have made A LOT of $$ and have lost A LOT of $$.
These words could not be more truer.
Shoot me a msg man, would love to discuss it further.
