how was the defender supposed to tackle dornald on that unnessarry roughness?

donald was still running.... defender wrapped him but in the process of wrapping donald ran out of bounds. i thought it was just a regular tackle. but end up being a penalty. l then seattle scores. confused

Agreed.  I'm on Seattle but that was kind of a lose/lose situation for the HOU defender.

Darnold stayed in bounds and tried to fight for extra yards instead of going out - and HOU did what he had to wrapping him and wrestling him down in the heat of the moment - no way to know if you got him over the line and out of bounds or not.

 

They make it too easy for QBs to sneak in extra yards or draw flags.
