Rate these 3 QB's from the same draft:
Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye
And not necessarily how they're playing RIGHT NOW, but who do you want long term?
I'm leaning Drake Maye...

They do different games. Maye is going throw you some touchdowns, Caleb is gonna be smart with tje ball amd not turn it over. Daniels is going to go steal you some games.

Maye is on my fantasy league team, in a league I'm in with friends.
Daniels is in my work fantasy league.
I'm happy with both, but if I want to build around a QB long-term, it's going to be Maye. And you know I love this bit of info...Drake Maye trained with former NFL quarterback Philip Rivers to prepare for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Yea I could of included them. Just wanted to know what people think of the #1, 2 and 3 picks.

And Caleb trained with no one, and skipped out on the combine.

If I would redraft I would still draft Daniels over maye first . Williams would be last . Maye has benefited with a good coach this season, and lots of offensive weapons. Daniels proving he still good without 2 starting running backs and no recievers.

Drake Maye and it’s not close. Drake showed that he could play at the pro level almost immediately. The fact that he’s playing the way he is now early in his second year has HOF potential written all over it.
Jayden to me is just a health risk at all times. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an NFL quarterback with his stick figure body type. I would bet that the injury bug haunts him his entire career.
Caleb just haven’t seen enough good performances to even put him in the same category as Maye.

On point. I can't say that Maye is HOF material just yet, maybe pump the brakes on that a little. But who knows.
Maye is the beat pro style qb out of all 3 imo. He has made some really big time throws this year, and a lot on 3rd down.
If I had to redraft, probably Maye, Jayden, then Caleb.
But who's to argue with Mel Kiper

Good to see you around. I remember getting into a good discussion on a thread a couple years ago about the Tua and Justin Herbert draft. We talked a lot about Justin Fields too.
Looks like only 1 qb from that year is doing anything worth a damn.

Yessir. Had a discussion a bit ago with a couple guys also about whether teams had found their 'franchise' guy from these last few drafts and whether they would still have drafted them in the same order and how they would draft them if they were all grouped in the same class.
It is interesting to consider. Some guys fell into a good situation with a good coach and QB coach, some did not; some had a couple of injuries, some had a couple of bad breaks with being rushed to play too soon; some are 'forced' to be 'the guy' too soon maybe; some had sophomore slumps or regressions.
Nevertheless, it makes for a curious thought project about how pundits, QB gurus, and fans all evaluated them both then and now.
Kyler Murray
Daniel Jones
Dwayne Haskins
Joe Burrow
Tua Tagovailoa
Justin Herbert
Jordan Love
Trevor Lawrence
Mac Jones
Justin Fields
Trey Lance
Zach Wilson
Kenny Pickett
Bryce Young
C.J. Stroud
Anthony Richardson
Caleb Williams
Jayden Daniels
Drake Maye
Michael Penix Jr.
J.J. McCarthy
Bo Nix
Really interesting to consider which team's GMs and coaches 'think' they have their franchise guy and which ones fans, that are fans of the team and not fans of the team, think have their 'guy'. These are often three widely different perspectives.
In other words, how many of these teams would draft a QB if they had the first pick this year.
It is a lot of perception sometimes. For example, I got into a discussion last year about Daniel Jones versus Lawrence. Their numbers were almost identical at the same timeframe of their career. So, you have to consider which really has the most upside at that time, or if they were even on the correct teams.
Always interesting QB discussions to have from various angles.

I like Daniels
Hes been better than Drake so far , i don’t see why he wouldn’t have a better career than him. Williams was overhyped. He was a PHONY #1 draft pick in my opinion

It's always an interesting conversation looking at how these young QB's careers evolve.
I always like seeing when dudes like Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and Daniel Jones start to reach their potential after a few seasons under their belt. And most importantly getting put in the right situation/team and coaching.
And then there are the dudes like Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, Zach Wilson and Kenny Pickett who don't seem to have much hope at all by now, but who knows.
I know we got into a pretty long back n forth about Justin Fields once. I think that he has been put through the ringer worse than anyone. On a Bears team with a horrible o line, multiple head coaches and OC's. Then Pitt gave him a chance and he got benched for no damn reason by Tomlin. Other than to stick with a shitty vet in Russell Wilson.
Now he's on the Jets who's o line is terrible. He got concused in week 2 and played like shit cause of it. To his credit he's been able to play without throwing an interception yet this season.
I don't know if he'll ever be as good as he could be at this point. But he needs to join the right team/situation like blood, or else he's the next Tyrod Taylor.

I am a big Jayden Daniels fan BTW.
