Did McDaniels ever merit a head coaching job? He spent years as an assistant coach with many teams and was the OC for the Jets one year before being named head coach for Miami. He had the one good year of 11-6 in 2023 and was crushed in the playoffs and then the team has tanked and is on empty for many reasons and not all on him. 

I found out he was a wide receiver at Yale so he had some on-field experience. Looking at the guy though, does he even look like a head coach? He strikes me more as an academic or poet than an NFL head coach. On the sideline oftentimes he looks on like a bemused spectator who is wondering what planet he is on. Is he a leftover remnant of the DEI era who in reality can't cut it on center stage? 

IMO, he will not be missed.
