(entering week 9)1: DENVERmanning might use a wheelchair to get on the field, but he has it mentally. some reason, i think he finally gets it done this year and doesn't choke in the playoffs. i think the addition of davis will be huge. every one focuses at manning being to old. but look at the talent around him. its incredible.2: PATSold man manning above the champ brady?!yup. brady is overrated and not as good as he is playing. should have lost to the jets. they have played no one. and their secondary is trash.3. ARIZONA this team is underrated. an offense that can put up 40 and a defense that can lock you down. aslong as peterson and palmer stay healthy, they will stay solid. (chris johnson most underrated RB in league right now)4. BENGALSandy dalton will be andy dalton. cant win in pressure or prime time. will never go anywhere in the playoffs. though he is having a great season. hill and bernard are deadly together.5.JETSthis team has a sick defense. not that LOB team we saw vs DEN in the super bowl, but a sure runner up. team is mean and solid all around. offense is also very solid. only question is the QB. fitz is the smartest in the league, not the best. geno is improving also. i like fitz running this offense alot better though.6.SEATTLEoffense is struggling greatly. DEF solid like past few years. huge game vs ARI coming up. need to get that O clicking. DEF WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS.7.CAROLINA7-0 carolina 7th on the list?!name 3 WRs on the panthers without looking it up. cant? its week 8!how cam gets it done without any receivers is inspirational. if you can name 3 WRs on CAR right now, give yourself a pat on the back. this is the fakest 7-0 team i have ever seen. their defense is fake and i am the first to say it.HONORABLE MENTIONS:GB (cant score on the road. and have no defense. eddie lacy also tops at 10 mph and is 100 lbs over weight.)ATL (reminds me of DAL last year. overrated. only addition is that RB. other then that, same team for past 3 years. shut down the run game and they are the same 8-8 team.)Who do you guys rank as top 7 in your book? would love to hear it.

Just curious who would you put in place of of SEA and Jets?You can pretty much eliminate anyone from the NFL East and the AFC South from this discussion. So, that leaves 6 conferences to choose your top 7 from.Carolina, Packers, Broncos, Pats, Cardinals should be everyones given so really its only the last two spots that are up for interpretation.With a healthy Bell and Big ben back in there I would put Steelers at 7 and then it would be between Vikings(if Bridgewater gets his chit together) and Jets. I know Falcons only have 2 losses but just am not sold on them being a contender at this point

no offense as this is a friendly disagreement while we try and see each others point of views.

thinking the giants are better then the jets is a joke in itself. the giants have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. (would say debatable 30-32nd ranked defense).

jets also better on offense by far IMO. team is solid all around.

giants cant match decker,marshal, ivory and ridley. to much talent.

playing CIN,GB, and CAR. 3 heavily thought top teams in the

NFL. yes they lost all 3. but that is where the value comes from. they could have easily won the CIN and CAR game, while people only look at box scores.

you cannot deny they have it defensively. they only need to get the offense clicking to be a contender for super bowl 50.

tom brady is having a crazy good season. and to who he is throwing to, 20 TDS and 1 INT (which was a tipped ball and not his fault if remember right) is just incredible.

Sorry s2ee but the Giants should be better than the Jets? The Jets would roll the Giants. Giants can't beat a good defense with that OL. They beat the Bills because Rex Ryan doesn't know how to handle the 2014 top-3 defense or a QB. Giants needed 4-0 on turnovers to beat the Cowboys with Cassel, scored 7 points against the Eagles.Carson Palmer has ONE win against a team with a winning record since the start of last season.

Manning and Kubiak finally seem to be on the same page. They worked on their OL. Defense is top-3.

#2 BENGALS

Best overall team based on talent on both sides of the ball.

#3 PATRIOTS

Questionable defense with that secondary but as long as Tom Brady and Josh McDaniels know how to win games without a defense, they have to be considered here.

#4 JETS

Top-3 defense (everyone has an off-game) and if Fitz is healthy, this offense is very lethal.

#5 PACKERS

Can't drop them out of the top-7. Still huge homefield advantage with a solid defense. They got pounded by the Broncos but hey they have been 6-0 before. Poor on the road, I can hardly take them against the teams above.

#6 RAMS

Yes, I said that. They beat the Seahawks with ease (result was closer than the game), beat the Cardinals at their home and they should have beaten the Steelers. They held Big Ben to 9 points through three quarters. Kendricks dropped a big red zone bomb. Packers needed 4 INT (1 pick six) and two missed FGs to beat them at Lambeau. They could be 5-2 easily here. This is arguably the best defense in the NFL with an offense that is starting to gel with Todd Gurley finally in the mix. Seahawks are struggling and Carson Palmer has beat ONE team with a winning record since the start of 2014, I can't put these teams in here.

#7 PANTHERS

Stout and physical defense with Josh Norman playing All-Pro level. Offense looks solid enough to win games, but will that be enough? But they had an easy schedule so far. Let them beat the Packers first.

Wait until the elements come , and then get back to me and put Denver ahead of new england. Laughable, you wouldn't have had them in your top 10 last week. Mannings not cured, when he faces a defense with a competent secondary and it's 20 degrees our and they aren't covering demarius thomas and Sanders with rookies like the Packers were he's going to struggle mightily again. Patriots defense is alot better than you think and they're so much better coached than Denver . You'll see

For some reason people seem to under rate the jets, and over rate the patriots. Records and game scores don't tell the full story. What many people don't understand.Rams top 7 is very interesting. I personally don't see it with them having no offense. And didn't mcown go like 31-38 vs that defense? That's off the top of my head. I watched that game and the box score fools people who didn't watch the game. The Rams weren't far away from a shutout. They are playing highly efficient - McCown and Manziel combined for 3/12 on third downs. You virtually can't run on them, so they try to put opposing QBs in bad situations, forcing them to dumb-offs. McCown had good stats but he couldn't be efficient. The Rams defense had -16% pass DVOA in that game - this number equals rank 3-4 in the league.

Ironic: The Jets were a stupid timeout call away from forcing OT at Lambeau last season with Geno Smith and no secondary.

Let the Cardinals beat one single playoff contender please. I would take the Jets anytime against them. They were losing by 10 at CLE before Haden and Whitner went down. They led 10-6 against Vick and then lost against Landry Jones. Winning against subpar teams doesnt qualify for beating the Jets. SF, DET, CHI, CLE, NO, BAL have a combined record of like 13-34 ?! They will get pounded by the Hawks.

The Giants aren't a good team IMO. They scored 7 points against a good Eagles defense! They struggled to move the ball against the new look Cowboys defense. No way they move the ball against the Jets on several drives.
