 Agreed may or may not happen but it can. Seen it happen over many seasons in this kind of scenario. Going on the road on a back-to-back is very much more rare than being the undermanned home underdog. It's almost like they threw the game for Chauncey Billups' criminal betting ring friends. One for the gipper er Chauncey. That or they simply thought it was a fait accompli and other NBA players who usually do not have the chance to play full game minutes vividly outplayed them. 

Tough to bet NBA these days.  Too much to figure out beyond ability and fatigue. You have to guess the fix each night.

Next man up, spreads are adjusted. It doesn’t matter who plays.
