Keep in mind this is now a PK EM series. Yes you are up 3-2, but there is a long, long way to go.

That line is pathetic..

The Fakers will be favorites in both games, you can take the Celts plus money in both games and beat that line with less risk.

No you can't. The Lakers will be upwards of -250 in game 6, and -230ish in game 7.

Parlay a -250 and -230 and what do you get?

That proves my point perfectly.

If you like the Celts the line is pathetic..I dont see the line being -250 but if it is and you like the Celts, take the ML in game 6, it loses take it in game 7, you could wager that way with less risk than a lousy PK line.

But you won't be getting 2-1 on your money, so if you lose game 6, you'll end up having more at risk overall.  No?

The key will be rebounding...everytime they stop the celtics first shot they didnt get any defensive rebounds.. did bynum even get any today?  Phil let benga play some minutes for rebounds.. is bynum the most overated player?  and Artest you need to know your role and just defend.. Kobe can get the points..

If they had any belief in the Lakers then they would be -120 down 3-2.
Going home for 2 games where they have dominated the playoffs and lost 1 home playoff game this year.

Seems the books are trying to milk a dead horse. They want more Laker money. Think about it, if you're back theLakers in the series, why would you bet the Lakers against the spread when you can get them at a Pk for the series. Celtics close it out on Tuesday!

Those saying the books "want Laker money" and the books "know the series is over" do you guys understand AT ALL how series lines are set? A series line in this situation with a team down 3-2 is nothing more then a parlay of the teams price in game 6 with the estimated game 7 price.

Stop trying to over analyze the price and make it more then it is. Series lines are set according to the lines, NOT on who they think wins.

Maybe you're right but if you wanna take the Lakers, which one is better, Lakers -6.5 or -7 back to back games or Lakers Pk for series price? I just dont see how they make it so easy, thats all im saying.

I get the point you are TRYING to make but respectfully disagree with the idea. Laying 6.5 or 7 in a game is a HUGE difference then needing the team to win the game. The difference is that you obviously need to win TWO games by taking the series price (something you obviously know) A 6.5-7pt spread equals a -250/300 ML. If anything you could argue that a 6.5-7 pt spread should have a higher ML but given the ML's in each game, the line is what it should be.

Not trying to say "I told you so" or any of that nonsense, but just trying to show that series price are calculated purely on expected ML's and that alone. If you know the game lines, you can figure out the series lines on your own. You don't need to wait for the book to put it ou.

Now you are getting the Lakers to win the Trophy at a PK.
Why even bet game 6 when you know if they win it (they will win game 7) and you can have all that and Phil @ 47-0 on a silver platter for a low low price of -110. This is master manipulation by the line setter. Just like the 2H tonight. Lakers down 6 and all Kobe needs to do is outscore Boston by one bucket to cover the 2H. Never happened they never even covered that 2H line once in the 24 mins. I cant imagine the amount of people who have the Lakers at -140 or -180 adding more at a PK to average down right now. Or better yet the casual bettor laying money on the Lakers at a PK because oh that is right PHIL is 47-0...But then again Doc beat him just 2 years ago.

You need to win 2 games are getting -110 to win BOTH. How is that handing the bet on a silver platter? Ever hear of a PARLAY? Ever understand how they work? Clearly you don't, and clearly that is why you don't understand series lines.
