ESPN is terrible

After watching the nba nfl and mlb channels for the past year i cant even watch espn anymore. Its just a bunch of politically correct bunch of bullshit. Homosexuals and women running around everywhere. Theyre not even good reporters its like they hired them just because they were gay and had tits. WTF has happened to this channel?  I could probaly over look all the women and gays if the channel actually covered sports. Its just a bunch of pop culture fluff that has nothing to do with the games being played. About the only decent show they have left is college gameday football with kirk and corso and im sure by the time september rolls around that will be garbage too. Sad to see such a icon of sports go right into the toilet.

I'm a big NHL fan, and I don't understand why everyone thinks it should go back to ESPN.  Slowly, Versus is trying to compete with ESPN, but there are morons out there who think that ESPN is the be-all end-all network.  In reality they don't like sports - they like ESPN sports.

I will also agree with BKin NYC. Versus NHL coverage has really improved over the years. as their only "major" sport they obviously put more work into it than ESPN. just wish they had more coverage during the regular season than mondays and tuesdays.

on top of that, I hear last night that Chris "Boomer" Berman gets into the NFL Hall of Fame?

the guy is totally fucking USELESS with his making up nicknames and general blather. his "swami" bullshit, like every thing else about the guy, is a complete RIPOFF of other sports announcers. every time the guy is on I have to keep my thumb on the "mute" button so my brain doesn't turn to jello.

 ESPN was a great idea that has gone sideways. I know some of you here remember what sports coverage was like before ESPN..........BAD!! You couldn't get scores of games except the premier ones & forget about any real highlights. ........& maybe 2-3 CFB games a day........all at the same time. 

 It would've happened eventually but ESPN happened to be the 1st..........& look how long it took for other stations to evolve or be created. I'm not trying to be an ESPN apologist, but they did get sports coverage out of the dark ages & created some competition which is good for the viewer.
