things we have learned??? For me, the last 3 years have been different. Of course, covid played a huge part, and it's funny, I sat out NFL due to covid, and all the drama the kneeling shit was going on, etc., but baseball didn't seem to go with all that, so i capped ,as usual, and I still didn't see a real reason that kneeling crap, etc, made a huge difference in MLB. I mean, there was some crap with the 'woke' shit, but..not too much. Maybe, I missed something, but I think it was more about something else. I mean, you always have trading, coaching changes, etc, so i never put my finger on the last 3 years. #1: The thing I learned and will focus on now: Pitchers age/injuries. That's been a given for years, but it seems shorter than before. I've been burnt a few times by taking the easy choice of starting pitchers whose always been "that guy" who is no longer "that guy". Used to, coaches would let SP go a lot longer, even with previous injuries in playoff event for 7 innings or so before pulling them. Wow.. they pull them after 2 innings now.. lol #2 See #1, but add to that, now they are rotating RP and SP's in such weird spots.. it's so aggravating...
Anyway, I'm curious to see what others have learned this year at the end of this MLB season that is soon coming to an end. Feel free to chime in, or not. Doesn't matter to me... just thought discussion might be fun.

First off, thanks for posting your plays everyday. I always check in to see who u got in deciding who im gonna pick. I've seen u go on cold streaks and rebound with win streaks so I respect your capping.
What i learned in this year's mlb is that the Dodgers are a super team that found their switch as soon as the playoffs started. I thought the brewers would give them a challenge but not even close. Money could buy championships if u have a once in a lifetime player like Ohtani who put off his big paycheck in order for the Dodgers to afford other necessary players to win championships. Many players say they wanna win titles but this man showed it by his actions. It also doesn't hurt that he was already filthy rich from endorsements but still. Dodgers might sweep their way to another title the way it's looking rn.
All that's to say, if mlb is like NBA or nfl, in the sense that it's a copycat league, then next year the teams going for it all will fork out the big bucks to collaborate a super team.

If you had asked me two months ago, I would have said Brewers could win the world series! Man, they were hot, and I rode them as long as I could! LOL But, against the Doyers? Nah, they just didn't have it, as we're seeing! I sincerely thought, today however, was probably their best shot to take one from the Dodgers. If that's the case, so beit, but I still went with the Dodgers. They just know how to bring it in these playoff spots. We'll see how it pans out. I tell you one thing, I'm already looking forward to next season! I plan to be more aware of some of these pitchers ailments though. I also want to pay a bit more attention to the coaches and there style of coaching. I think that's an angle I really didn't concentrate on...

But think about this too... What about the "cinderella" story? Think about how much hype, money, etc., goes into that! Something to keep in mind, as well. The old days of capping have changed a lot!! We have to approach all this a bit differently. And, EACH sport has to be approached differently than the other! I suppose I'm just trying to spark discussion on what others are thinking as we move forward.
